Abbie Chatfield sparks engagement rumours with boyfriend Adam Hyde as she sports huge ring

It’s been speculated that Abbie Chatfield is engaged to boyfriend Adam Hyde, as she recently displayed a piece of jewelry she received for her 30th birthday.

On Monday, The Bachelor star posted a video on Instagram showing off the personalized ring that Adam presented to her as a birthday gift.

She mentioned that on her 30th birthday, she was curious about what he had planned for her. They had just returned from Greece when she celebrated her birthday, and she received her gift not long ago, finding it very adorable.

In a related context, he affectionately refers to me as ‘bug’, reminding me of a day we spent in bed when he playfully said, “You’re like a little bug.” Since then, he has continued to call me that. Therefore, understanding my nickname, he recently surprised me with a custom-made gift – a heart-shaped box containing a ring. Abbie shared this backstory before unveiling the present.

She then placed the band on her ring finger and held it up towards the camera.

She excitedly expressed, “This is a unique ring, isn’t it the sweetest, most stylish, amazing 30th birthday gift ever? It’s quite surprising… I assumed everyone would be curious about what I received, so I wanted to share it with you all.

A significant number of followers swarmed the comment section, inquiring if the ring she wore was an engagement ring on her ring finger.

‘Hahahaha I did see the left hand engagement ring finger,’ one person commented.

‘You might not realize this, but you are now formally betrothed,’ one commented as another penned: ‘She slipped the ring onto her finger.’

Right away, Abby clarified any confusion, pointing out that she had been wearing the ring on her right hand, but due to the camera’s perspective, it seemed like it was on her left hand in the recording.

Abbie and Adam’s relationship has flourished and grown stronger since its start in June 2024, with Abbie often joining Adam during his live shows.

On New Year’s Eve in 2025, she performed with Adam and his band Peking Duk at the Hindley St Music Hall in Adelaide. They celebrated the new year together on stage.

The couple openly displayed their affection in photos they posted on Instagram, seemingly unfazed by the presence of thousands of spectators watching them.

A video on stage depicted the pair guiding the audience in counting down to the year 2025, followed by them exchanging a New Year’s smooch.

She remarked, “He’s different from the others I’ve been involved with. And it might seem a bit odd, but his professional achievements surpass mine.” This was her response to rumors among fans that Adam may be exploiting her for celebrity status.

‘I don’t think he’s using me for anything. He’s successful in his own right.

‘I think I’m cool for being with him, not the other way around.’

Abby had been good friends with Adam for a couple of years prior to their romantic relationship, and she believes this friendship has strengthened their mutual trust.
