“Suspenseful” spy thriller with Elisabeth Moss finds new free UK streaming home
For fans who have grown fond of Elisabeth Moss, there’s another show to indulge in as “The Handmaid’s Tale” concludes – this one can be streamed at no cost within the United Kingdom.
In the 2024 spy thriller, “The Veil,” the cast includes Moss portraying Imogen Salter, a skilled MI6 agent adept at covert operations. Opposite her is Yumna Marwan, who plays Adilah El Idrissi, a French woman under suspicion for being a high-ranking ISIS figure masterminding a potential terrorist strike against the Western world.
Six entire episodes can be streamed for free on Channel 4’s personal platform. This series was initially broadcast through FX on Hulu in the U.S., but it is also accessible on Disney+ if you have a subscription.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the series garnered a modest 54% approval rating among critics after 35 reviews. Viewers have given it a comparable rating, with a 51% overall viewer score.
Developed by Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight, The Veil is recognized as a gripping limited series. It offers a platform for its principal actors, Moss and Marwan, brought to life through SSG Syndicate.
Others were less impressed with Moss’s series, calling it “style over substance”.
According to TV Guide’s critique, the series seems to lack a strong connection with its characters and the reality portrayed on screen.
But the series has a high bingeability factor, as The Globe and Mail‘s review suggests.
The Veil captivates with a shining star and a hook that’s hard to resist, and at just six episodes long, it appears designed to be brief enough that you likely won’t abandon it if you begin… You might even feel a twinge of guilt shutting it off.”
Meanwhile, Elisabeth Moss is slated to headline an “unsettling” and gripping new crime drama series on Apple TV+, called Imperfect Women.
In the United Kingdom, you can catch “The Veil” on Channel 4 and Disney+. For those in the U.S., the series can be found on Hulu.
