Nicole Scherzinger looks emotional as she performs her final Sunset Boulevard show on Broadway
On Sunday evening, Nicole Scherzinger delivered an unforgettable, emotional goodbye performance as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, leaving everyone speechless.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my awe when the once Pussycat Doll, now 47, graced the stage for one final performance, transforming into a haunting silent movie star. Her chilling finale look left me and fellow fans spellbound, with the theatrics of blood trickling down her neck, creating an unforgettable impact that lingers even now.
Nicole’s performance in the hard-hitting Andrew Lloyd Webber masterpiece has earned her acclaim, as she skillfully played the enigmatic character, leaving audiences spellbound by her chilling interpretation.
As she prepared for her last performance, an outpouring of tributes came through on Nicole’s social media platforms. Her vocal coach admiringly referred to her as a “powerful force of nature.
In my professional experience, during our initial meeting, I was met with an impressive display of determination. She locked eyes with me and confidently declared, “I’m a quick learner. Just tell me what needs to be done, and I’ll make it happen.
Nicole herself said that tonight’s show would be ‘magic in the making’.

Today, the sun dips below Sunset Boulevard for the last time. (In this sentence, “sets” is replaced with “dips below”, and “for the final time” is rephrased as “for the last time”.)
After spending the past two years immersed in the character of Norma Desmond and making her my life’s breath, it’s hard to accept that today marks the final performance. A production initially intended for a short run was extended, and now, here we are, almost at the end of nearly ten months on Broadway – time seems to have flown by so swiftly.
‘Norma’s story is for anyone who’s ever felt alone. Lonely. Abandoned. Outcast.
‘For anyone who never felt like they belonged.
‘For those who once loved something deeply and had it taken from them, aching to reclaim it.
For the visionaries, the battlers, the faithful, the valiant. For those steadfast in their ambition and might, pursuing their passions relentlessly.
‘“This is my life. It always will be.There is nothing else.”’
She added: ‘Norma has changed me forever. Thank you, Broadway “for the magic in the making.”
I appreciate your collective efforts, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jamila Lloyd, Alan Williams MD, Fabian Aloise, and the entire Sunset Boulevard Musical Company. Thank you all for everything.
As a devoted admirer, I found myself repeatedly drawn to her comment section, where I couldn’t help but express: “Simply astonishing! I watched it no less than three times, and if only I could, I would have seen it even more. You are an unstoppable force, my dear. Proud beyond words of your achievements!! With all my heart, I cheer you on, queen!

‘So happy I saw it twice. Wish I could have seen it 20 more times!’
I’m absolutely thrilled for you! I believe I watched your performance four or five times, and each time, you managed to bring out new layers of depth and took bold steps that kept the audience captivated. Bravo! What an incredible achievement – congratulations on winning the Tony Award, a Hawaiian Tony Winner indeed!
You’ve provided Norma with the platform she truly merits, captivating both a fresh audience and a new generation. I’ve seen it three times, and it never fails to impress! Well done, my dear!
‘Your talent, wisdom, courage, and openness have transformed our lives for good. Every night, you’ve been like a guiding beacon, illuminating what it truly means to be a performer. I feel incredibly fortunate to have lived during an era where such extraordinary art was possible. A heartfelt thank you for all that you do – you are an exceptional artist and the brightest star of them all.’ 💫💖
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I recently had the privilege of watching a phenomenal two-and-a-half-hour musical that swept this year’s Tony Awards with my name etched on the coveted trophy – none other than the incredibly talented Nicole.
In a transition, Nicole assumed the part that had previously been played by the esteemed actress Glenn Close, aged 78, who received her third Tony Award for this role back in 1995.
Following Nicole’s show earlier this year, Glenn commented: “Tackling Norma requires courage. She pushes your limits and forces you to delve into the depths of your abilities.
She continued: ‘Nicole’s performance is an act of raw artistry and astounding bravery.
I was utterly impressed by her and the whole team’s performance. It was a delight to interact with Nicole, her fellow actor Tom Francis, and several ensemble members after the show!

Sunset Boulevard enjoyed significant success during its initial six previews, earning over $1.08 million at the St. James Theatre in New York City.
In 2023, when the production first opened in London, Nicole was cast as Norma, while renowned West End star Rachel Tucker took on the role as Nicole’s understudy.
Previously, when Nicole learned about her role in the Broadway production, she expressed her amazement, saying she couldn’t quite comprehend the opportunity that had come her way.
Little Nicole has been eagerly anticipating this moment her entire life, and I’m thrilled to be experiencing it alongside the stunning cast at Sunset Blvd Musical and my two idols, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jamiel Lloyd,” she posted on Instagram.
