Jennifer Garner reunites with daughter Violet Affleck, 19, MONTHS after teen detailed their blow up argument
On a Sunday morning in Los Angeles, Jennifer Garner acted as the laid-back mom, taking her oldest child, Violet, and a few friends out for coffee.
After a heartfelt essay Violet, 19, wrote about the Pacific Palisades fires and climate change during her time at Yale last semester, it appeared that she and her mother had reconciled any past disagreements.
Garner, aged 53, appeared quite comfortable among her youthful companions, donning a stylish white-and-gold golf shirt with vertical stripes, paired with high-waisted white trousers.
The Family Switch star kept her footwear casual, opting for a pair of brown leather sandals.
Garner had her long, brown hair styled sleekly straight, and opted for a natural makeup look that included a subtle red lipstick shade.
The individual adorning the Elektra costume donned a pair of dark, squared-off sunglasses and held both a steaming cup of coffee and a green notebook.
Violet, much like her mom, wore a carefree expression while donning a simple white cotton tee and straight-legged jeans that stretched to her ankles, featuring pockets shaped as squares on the front.
The university student stepped out in black and white sneakers.
She had long, dark-blond hair styled sleekly straight, and she seemed to have only a touch of makeup on, with squared spectacles resting on her nose.
The adolescent had a white, fluffy handbag adorned with a brown strap, and they were also spotted wearing a white protective mask.
In July 2024, Violet presented her case for mask usage to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, having experienced a post-viral health issue back in 2019.
She shared with the legislators, “I’m doing well now, but I experienced personally how sometimes, even minor viruses can lead to unanswered medical consequences.
The COVID-19 outbreak has made it strikingly clear. Approximately one out of ten individuals who contract the virus will develop Long COVID, a debilitating condition affecting the nervous system and cardiovascular health. This illness can significantly impair people’s capacity to work, move around, see clearly, and even influence their cognitive abilities.
She additionally noted that communities of racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, transgender people, and those working in essential public-facing jobs are particularly vulnerable to the virus.

The adolescent furthered her public activism by submitting an essay, entitled “A Chronically Ill Earth: COVID-19 Organizing as a Blueprint for Climate Action in Los Angeles,” to her university’s Global Health Review.
In the opening of her paper, she started by grabbing attention with the statement, ‘I spent January’s fires in Los Angeles locked in a heated argument with my mother inside a hotel room. She was left in shock, amazed at the extent of devastation in the area where she raised me and my siblings.’
The essay went on to draw parallels between climate change and the global Covid-19 pandemic, suggesting that our reaction to crises such as the LA fires indicates that we might still be adapting to handling the climate crisis in a manner similar to the Covid-19 pandemic: by focusing on how quickly we can return to ignoring the problem as if it no longer exists.
Neither Garner, nor Violet’s dad Ben Affleck, 52, has commented on the paper.

During a chat with People last year, Garner openly discussed her experience of parenting her three children and admitted that it becomes increasingly challenging as they grow up, allowing them to make their own choices.
She clarified that she’s simply observing as they navigate through a fresh stage of their lives, during which they are discovering their identities and deciding on their academic paths.
‘And I’m so interested in them. All the time, I’m interested in everything about them.’
Later on, the actress openly confessed to the media, “It’s quite challenging for me to resist expressing thoughts like, ‘This is who I perceive you as,’ and ‘I believe you ought to.’ I truly need to restrain myself.
