In this Silver and Blood review, I will be sharing my thoughts on the game and offering an honest opinion to help guide your decision.

This 2D RPG from Vizta Games, a MOONTON Games subsidiary, provides an array of compelling vassals, unique factions, fully animated cutscenes, and numerous other features for your enjoyment. In this review, I will share my impressions and offer an honest opinion on the game.

In this critique, I delved into Silver and Blood on the Motorola G32 (Android device), clocking up approximately 30 hours of gameplay, which included the beta phase. This extensive playtime enabled me to thoroughly traverse and immerse myself in all aspects of the game, establishing a firm basis for a comprehensive evaluation.

Silver and Blood offers a different take from MOONTON Games’ usual style

Kicking off with the analysis, let’s delve into the gaming adventure of Silver and Blood. If you’re familiar with the popular games by MOONTON such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, you may be taken aback because this game offers a unique twist in terms of its gameplay and aesthetic.

The fundamental gameplay revolves around a nine-square, turn-based battle mechanism. In this system, after you organize your team, fights unfold on their own. However, you can intervene by employing the Skill Cards. You’ll need to move each card to various positions or formations.

In addition to completing the main story, you can also engage in raids, expeditions, and numerous other activities within the game Threads of Fate. Moreover, even if you’re not fond of the automatic aspects, the captivating visuals, intriguing narrative, and thoughtfully designed characters will undoubtedly hold your interest.

Plenty of content to explore for every kind of player

Regarding content, Silver and Blood offers a multitude of activities. While the Thread of Fate focuses on the primary narrative, there’s also the intriguing area known as the Lost Courtyard, which provides additional challenges. You can engage in experiences such as Truth’s Odyssey and Infinite Abyss, among others, within this courtyard.

As you move forward, you’ll eventually gain access to additional content, such as the grand Castle. Inside this expansive structure lies the Observatory, the Hall of Honor, and other intriguing areas. One of my personal favorites is the Council Chamber, where you can call upon up to 5 Vassals each day for consultations on a variety of topics.

As a gamer, I love embarking on exciting expeditions, sending my vassals into the wilderness to gather rewards. The grand banquets are another favorite, where I build connections with my vassals by treating them well, boosting their affinity towards me. And let’s not forget about the Journal – it’s a fascinating read, offering insights into the lives of my vassals through backstories, daily interactions, and even their birthday celebrations!

Anime-style visuals and a stunning sound design steal the show

Regarding the game’s graphics and sound, I must say I’m thoroughly captivated by them. The game’s breathtaking visuals and anime-style cinematic sequences make it seem as if you’re watching an exceptional anime series instead of playing a video game, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for me.

Simple controls meet a clean and gothic-inspired user interface

In terms of controls and user experience, both Silver and Blood provide a robust, comprehensive interface that’s user-friendly, even considering the game’s extensive content. Although it follows a gloomy gothic theme, you won’t encounter much trouble moving between the Vassals section, the Story mode, or any other features.

As for controls, they are user-friendly and straightforward, predominantly operating in a semi-automatic manner. The main action involves moving Skill Cards to specified locations to activate them effectively, which feels seamless. On even economical hardware, I experienced no problems with stability or responsiveness.

IAPs tempt you with SSR Vassals, but you can still have a fun ride without them

Silver and Blood provides various in-app purchases such as the “Vampire Transformation,” which grants abundant “Moon Drops,” “Comforting Touches,” and “Rare Fragments.” Additionally, you’ll encounter monthly agreements like the “New Moon Deal” and “Full Moon Pacts,” along with many other options.

If considering the option to advance your SSR Vassals, you might find yourself drawn to the Special Embrace Bundles, or the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly offers. However, it’s important to note that you don’t need to spend money to fully enjoy the game. You can absolutely follow a free-to-play strategy and still have a rewarding gaming experience.

To clarify, adopting this strategy means you’ll have to invest more time into the game, but it will result in significant savings. Many resources within the game, such as Moon Tears – the premium currency, can be obtained simply by playing and accomplishing different challenges.

Final Verdict

As a passionate fan, I’d say Silver and Blood is an engaging, immersive experience with a deep lore and captivating characters that draw you in right away. Though not everyone might appreciate the semi-auto battle aspect, the game offers a unique blend of distinct factions, Vassals, diverse game modes, breathtaking graphics, and compelling narratives that truly deliver.

Ever since I’ve been playing this game during its beta phase, I must say I’m thoroughly impressed by how it has evolved. It’s a significant departure from MOONTON Games’ typical style, but they’ve managed to pull it off admirably, particularly with the meticulous art, engaging loading screens, rich backstories, and other elements that make the game truly stand out.
