Andor Emmy nominations: Who got snubbed and recognized in 2025
2024-2025 television season Primetime Emmy nominations have been announced, and Star Wars managed to hold its own against other contenders. Despite the fact that Andor garnered over a dozen total Emmy nominations for its second season, it’s hard to overlook the oversights that have kept several impressive performances from getting their moment in the limelight.
On Tuesday, the Emmy nominations for a total of 14 categories for Andor were announced, with Outstanding Drama Series being one of them. Here’s the complete rundown of the Andor Emmy nominations, naming the actors who made the list and those who deserved recognition but were unfortunately overlooked:
This week, Tuesday saw a total of 14 Emmy categories being nominated for Andor, with Outstanding Drama Series as one of them. Here’s the entire breakdown of the Andor Emmy nominations, showcasing the actors who were recognized and those who were unfortunate not to be:
Or simply:

- Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Season Or A Movie
This significant episode of the current season titled “Who Are You?” garnered seven out of the show’s total nominations, earning well-deserved accolades for its music, direction, and production design. It would be disappointing if it didn’t bag at least one award in this upcoming awards ceremony.
Forest Whitaker and Alan Tudyk rise above the rest
As a passionate fan of “Andor,” I’m thrilled to share that two familiar faces from the series, Forest Whitaker and Alan Tudyk, have been recognized for their exceptional performances in the show’s second season. Forest Whitaker once again breathed life into the character Saw Gerrera, while Alan Tudyk reprised his role as the charming droid K-2SO, a character we last saw in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
In a remarkable turn of events, both actors delivered outstanding performances in their respective categories. However, the emotional outburst by the character from ‘Saw’ at the end of the fifth episode has sparked a wave of internet popularity, which is quite flattering. Unfortunately, other deserving actors missed out on the recognition they deserved. The exclusion of Genevieve O’Reilly from the nominations is particularly regrettable, considering she would have faced tough competition in the Lead Actress category, despite being an exceptional talent.
Genevieve O’Reilly and more Andor actors snubbed in 2025 Emmy nominations
Although “Welcome to the Rebellion” earned a nomination for its writing, Genevieve O’Reilly, who delivered that iconic senate speech and was exceptional as Mon Mothma throughout season 2, didn’t receive the Emmy recognition she merits. Her performance in the entire series deserves more acclaim, but unfortunately, she isn’t the only one overlooked by the nominations list.
It seems that some of the top actors from the show, including Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, and Adria Arjona, are conspicuously absent from this list. Although these talented individuals played significant roles in almost every episode of the season and gave performances worthy of awards, Star Wars enthusiasts will need to join forces to continue acknowledging their outstanding talent independently.
Check out the complete lineup for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards nominees. Don’t forget to watch the ceremony unfold live on CBS and Paramount+ on September 14, where we’ll find out which lucky winners take home the evening’s prestigious awards!
