RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Michelle Visage, 56, declares herself ‘flat and proud’ as she finally embraces her natural figure in racy sheer gown following breast implant removal and years of feeling ‘shame’ for her small chest
Michelle Visage openly expressed her contentment with being flat and confident following the acceptance of her natural body shape, which comes six years after undergoing a breast implant removal due to health concerns.
On Instagram, posted on Friday, the judge of RuPaul’s Drag Race, aged 56, turned heads in an eye-catching see-through dress featuring sparkling decorations strategically placed over her chest as the sole coverage for her nipples.
At age 21, Michelle openly confessed that she underwent a breast augmentation surgery, a decision she made after enduring many years of self-consciousness and mockery due to her smaller breast size.
In her detailed message, she expressed regret that she didn’t appreciate her body more when she was younger. You might have heard this from her before, but she often faced ridicule from boyfriends and friends due to her lack of breast development.
Reading through my dad’s suggestive magazines and not finding images of women like me made me feel unattractive, undesirable, and lacking femininity. I felt inferior because I didn’t have large breasts or any breasts at all in comparison to what was depicted in those magazines.
Michelle went on to say: In 2019, I underwent a procedure to remove my implants, which I refer to as my personal health revolution. It was a significant step for both myself and the inner child within me, who yearned for validation that she was beautiful all along, from the very beginning. This beauty has always been there, and will continue to be.

‘I wouldn’t have dared to wear this dress in the past due to fear of embarrassment and mockery. You might find it extravagant, provocative or tacky, but today, I embrace this dress and the body I’ve worked tirelessly to attain.’
Before adding: ‘Yes little Michelle, you are loved. Thanks for reading my vent!’.
Previously, Michelle, who was once a contestant on Strictly, disclosed that she had experienced hair loss and panic attacks as a result of a long-term health issue caused by her breast implants.
She received a diagnosis for Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition that leads to progressive damage of the thyroid gland, potentially causing issues such as weight increase, feelings of depression, and overall discomfort.
At age 21, Michelle opted for a breast augmentation procedure, which she later believed led to several mysterious health issues she experienced.
Regarding her struggle with the illness, Michelle shared: “My skin became incredibly dry and flaky, while my hair started to shed noticeably. Additionally, I experienced severe bouts of anxiety.
‘Looking back, my life took a turn when I got breast implants at 21. Since they were always with me, round-the-clock for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, my body didn’t have the chance to resist or defend itself effectively.’
As a diligent follower of my health, I initially suspected that my symptoms might be linked to my breast implants, but my doctor’s assessment didn’t support this theory. Consequently, I took it upon myself to delve deeper into the matter through independent research.

Thirty years after getting breast implants, the judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK decided to have them taken out, and she mentioned that her thyroid nodule had shrunk since then.
She mentioned that she discovered a Facebook group made up of around 50,000 women experiencing similar symptoms due to their breast implants. Subsequently, she embarked on creating a documentary chronicling her own experiences with Breast Implant Illness prior to undergoing removal surgery.
While discussing her weight loss in 2023, she disclosed that the goal wasn’t to be thin but rather to reduce inflammation within her body.
In the span of a single year, the Radio 2 host managed to shed excess pounds by adhering to the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet and incorporating weight training into their routine, as they grappled with the challenges posed by perimenopause.
Previously, she mentioned that she anticipates that losing weight might aid in improving or even reversing her Hashimoto’s disease, a condition characterized by the immune system attacking the thyroid gland.
During her interview on Loose Women, she expressed the viewpoint that her breast implant process played a significant role in her dramatic weight reduction.
she informed the group: “I have an autoimmune condition. It’s disheartening to measure our value by our physical selves; there’s so much more to us than that.

The trip wasn’t primarily focused on shedding pounds; rather, it aimed to reduce inflammation. Interestingly, weight loss was a byproduct of this process.
‘I believe my breast implant journey was a major factor.’
As a die-hard fan of wellness and a passionate seeker of relief, I’ve stumbled upon the fascinating Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet. This remarkable eating plan, as outlined on healthline.com, is an elimination diet meticulously crafted to help diminish inflammation or alleviate symptoms associated with autoimmune disorders.
Wearing a red top, the ex-Strictly contestant accentuated her stylish ensemble with an impeccable layer of makeup, featuring a radiant smoky eye shadow.
