The updated version of Netflix’s TV series based on the well-known video game series, “Assassin’s Creed,” is now available.
In 2020, the streaming platform unveiled plans for a thrilling, boundary-pushing live-action version of the popular video game franchise, intended for television broadcast.
On Thursday, July 17th, Netflix publicly announced that the production of the series has been given a go-ahead. The duo, David Wiener and Roberto Patino, have officially joined as the show’s creators.
Wiener is recognized for his work on “Halo” and “The Killing”, while Patino has made significant contributions to shows like “Westworld” and “Sons of Anarchy”. Aside from their roles as showrunners, they will also take on the position of executive producers.
They declared in their shared statement, “We’ve been enthusiastic supporters of Assassin’s Creed ever since it debuted in 2007. Each day we dedicate to this project fills us with excitement and a sense of awe at the vast potential that Assassin’s Creed offers us.

At its core, this encompasses not just action, spectacle, parkour, and excitement, but also the fundamental human narrative – one that delves into people’s quest for purpose, their grappling with issues of identity, destiny, and faith. It explores themes like power, violence, sexuality, greed, vengeance, and more.
Above all, this production emphasizes the importance of shared humanity, transcending cultural boundaries and time periods. It also underscores the potential loss our species faces when these connections are severed.
At the conclusion, Wiener and Patino expressed gratitude towards Netflix and Ubisoft, the gaming company that initially released the game in 2007. They further stated, “Our dedication lies in delivering an unforgettable experience to fans worldwide.
Described as an action-packed thriller, this upcoming series unfolds the covert conflict between two mysterious groups. The narrative follows several characters navigating crucial moments in history while striving to determine the course of human civilization.

The Assassin’s Creed video game series, renowned as one of the largest global blockbuster franchises in history, is frequently recognized as one of the most impactful gaming series ever produced. It encompasses 14 main releases.
Earlier, a movie version of this franchise was released in 2016, featuring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard as leads. This film presented an innovative narrative, taking place amidst the Spanish Inquisition in the 15th century.
Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed has no release date.
