The planned release date for the much-awaited animated movie “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” by Sony Pictures has been delayed once more.

When is the new Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse release date?

It’s been announced that the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will now be three weeks later than initially planned, with the new premiere scheduled for June 25, 2027. Originally, it was set to debut on June 4, 2027, a date that came after multiple years of postponements.

Based on a report from THR about the schedule change, sources indicate that the reason behind the postponement is intended to benefit its viewers. As schools are on summer break at the end of June, this extension provides a larger audience to view the film. Furthermore, late June is perceived as a more attractive release date globally, according to THR.

Due to unforeseen delays caused by writer and actor strikes, the release of “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,” originally scheduled for March 29, 2024, has been postponed, making it more than four years after its predecessor, 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Originally, there was an expected release date for this movie later in the year, but according to Jeff Sneider’s report from The InSneider in September 2024, the film has been postponed until 2027 because of production complications and the prioritization of other Spider-Man projects.

In the animated Spider-Man series, the initial movie titled “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is currently streamable on both Fubo and FXNOW. As for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”, it can be found on Disney+ and Fubo.
