Spider-Man Star Joins Marvel’s Exciting New Disney+ Series for 2025!

2025 will see a notable actor from “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which was Marvel Studios‘ biggest solo movie in 2021, joining the cast of their final series airing on Disney+. The multiverse exploration introduced in “No Way Home” has significantly shaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and this influence is evident even in the stories being developed for Disney+’s content. As Marvel Studios continues to explore new territories on the streaming platform, they’re capitalizing on the success of “No Way Home” by incorporating its elements into their future productions.

Marvel Studios has tapped actor Arian Moayed for a return as Department of Damage Control Agent Cleary in the forthcoming “Wonder Man” series on Disney+. Previously, Moayed featured in two other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) productions, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Ms. Marvel,” and he is now poised to star in his third Marvel Studios project overall.

The official word from Deadline is that Moayed has been cast as Agent Cleary in the upcoming film “Wonder Man.” This reunites him with Yahya Abdul-Mateen’s character, Simon Williams. Although specifics about his role in the story are being tightly guarded for now, we can look forward to the premiere of “Wonder Man” to learn more.

In the movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” I was Agent Cleary, part of the Department of Damage Control, taking action against Peter Parker for his actions as Spider-Man. I also sat down with Peter, Ned Leeds, MJ, and Aunt May to delve deeper into his vigilante activities. Fast forward to 2022’s Ms. Marvel, I resurfaced, this time investigating Ms. Marvel. However, things took an unexpected turn when my coworker, Sadie Deever, started pursuing Kamala Khan in an uncontrolled manner.

In a new twist for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II portrays Simon Williams, who journeys through the world of Hollywood and delves into his past as an actor before transforming into the latest MCU hero. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, this production also welcomes Sir Ben Kingsley back as Trevor Slattery. The much-anticipated debut of Wonder Man is set for Disney+ in December 2025.

What to Expect from Arian Moayed in Wonder Man

In the upcoming movie “Wonder Man,” fans might notice a more advanced portrayal of Moayed’s character. Given his past interactions with MCU characters just starting out as heroes, it is anticipated that he will delve into the initial signs of trouble that Simon Williams may encounter.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the second series set in Los Angeles (following “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”) is expected to shine a light on the glamour and excitement of Hollywood. The main character, played by Abdul-Mateen, will likely experience some initial action sequences. It’s plausible that Simon might encounter one or two incidents that catch the attention of Damage Control, prompting Agent Cleary, portrayed by Moayed, to travel westward for an investigation.

In about five months, the details regarding “Wonder Man” on Disney+ are mostly kept secret (apart from a brief glimpse seen in a teaser trailer back in October 2024).

When the complete trailer goes live and further storyline information is disclosed, viewers will gain a clearer understanding of where Cleary and the ensemble fit within this series, and how their presence will contribute to the street-level activities being crafted for Phase 6.
