Don’t miss the trailer for Netflix’s “urgent” and “propulsive” thriller with Vanessa Kirby
The forthcoming Netflix thriller titled “Night Always Comes“, featuring Vanessa Kirby, has unveiled a suspenseful preview.
The movie, adapted from Willy Vlautin’s 2021 book, features Kirby as Lynette, a character who occasionally takes risks, finding herself in a precarious financial predicament when her mother Doreen (played by Jennifer Jason Leigh) splurges on a car.
Determined to offer a more comfortable existence for her brother Kenny (Zack Gottsagen), Lynette sets out on a challenging journey, risking everything to preserve their home. This undertaking might involve facing some difficult truths about her own history, which she’d rather leave behind.

Under the label of being an “immediate”, “intense” and “thrilling journey of survival”, the initial trailer for “Night Always Comes ” has been released, portraying Lynette’s escalating and risky strategies to secure funds as the pressure mounts.
The movie, penned by Sarah Conradt and helmed by Benjamin Caron, showcases an impressive ensemble of actors, including Stephan James, Julia Fox, Eli Roth, Michael Kelly, and Randall Park, who take on diverse characters within its storyline.
In a statement via Tudum, Caron, who has collaborated with Kirby before on “The Crown”, expressed that what attracted him to their latest project was its examination of survival, sacrifice, and the notion of silent bravery. Essentially, he noted that the film poses the query: “Who experiences safety, and at what expense?
As a devoted admirer, I found it absolutely thrilling to witness Vanessa’s creative involvement right from the start. Having her double as an actor and producer was nothing short of brilliant. Her unique blend of talent infused Lynette with a captivating wild energy, making her character unpredictable yet deeply human. It’s truly a spectacle to behold!
Working together, we developed a character who doesn’t merely respond to her surroundings, but one who is equally struggling to seize command of her destiny, precariously balancing on the brink of self-destruction.
Caron, who has been involved with shows like ‘Andor’ and Apple TV+’s ‘Sharper’, described the storyline as an intense exploration of forward momentum. In this tale, Lynette is seen trying to escape her past while creating a new path towards the future. Additionally, he mentioned that it had a heightened sense of urgency or relevance.
Night Always Comes is released on Netflix on 15 August.
