Denise Richards’ rollercoaster love life with Patrick Muldoon, Charlie Sheen, Richie Sambora as she faces 2nd divorce

Denise Richards has endured yet another bout of heartache, having dated numerous well-known men from the Hollywood scene, such as Charlie Sheen, Nikki Sixx, and Richie Sambora.

There is also John Stamos and a reported fling with pinup reality TV star Brandi Glanville. 

On July 5th, Aaron Phypers submitted divorce papers, ending his six-year marriage with the ex-Bond girl. Now, she finds herself single once more.

This will be her second divorce after splitting from Sheen. 

Aaron attributed their breakup to ‘insurmountable disagreements,’ with the date of their separation being July 4th. However, the Playboy cover model alleged that he had mistreated her and made threats against her life.

It appears that the ex-Real Housewife of Beverly Hills continues to feel the pain of her heart, as her previous relationships haven’t been particularly smooth sailing either.

Here is a look at her ups and downs over the years when it comes for her search for love. 

 

PATRICK MULDOON

1995 – 2000

Denise and Patrick Muldoon got acquainted during the shooting of Starship Troopers in 1997, and they started dating a year later.

When they split in year 2000 they stayed friends.

He previously appeared on her former series, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and he also attended her wedding to Phypers in the year 2018.

At the cocktail party, Patrick found himself being playfully ridiculed by Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, and Dorit Kemsley due to his simultaneous relationships with both Rinna and Denise.

Lately, they got back together for Denise Richards’ reality series titled “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” to shoot a music video as a team.

Muldoon has also dated Tori Spelling and Juliette Binoche. 

 

CHARLIE SHEEN 

2001 – 2006 

In the year 2002, Richard and Sheen tied the knot, but their marriage ended in 2006. Their union produced two lovely daughters named Sam and Lola.

Denise and Charlie first met in 2000 while filming the movie Good Advice. 

In the year 2001, during her brief appearance as a supporting character on Spin City, their relationship blossomed into romance and they began dating.

In the year-end glow of 2021, I took the leap and proposed to my partner; we tied the knot back in 2002. Fast forward to March 2004, our world expanded with the arrival of our precious son, Sam.

In 2005, Denise filed for divorce from Charlie while six months pregnant with daughter Lola Sheen.

They tried to work things out but then separated and officially divorced in 2006.

During his appearance on Denise Richards’ last reality TV series, titled “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things,” the two appeared polite and respectful.

After Denise, Charlie was wed to Brooke Mueller from 2008 until 2011. 

 

JOHN STAMOS

2006

Denise and John Stamos of Full House fame casually dated after her split from Charlie.

It was reported that a special forces member, often referred to as a hunk, who played a role on Full House, was said to be the best lover ever by someone; however, in 2009, Denise clarified this misconception.

At the time, when I was asked about his exceptional abilities, I didn’t go that far by declaring him the best of the best. Instead, I simply acknowledged his impressive qualities by saying, ‘He’s quite remarkable.’

They have remained friends and appeared together in the TV show Losing It with John Stamos.

John wed Caitlin McHugh in 2018. 

 

RICHIE SAMBORA

2006 – 2012

For a span of six years, Denise was in a relationship with Richie Sambora, a musician from Bon Jovi, who previously was married to Heather Locklear.

It was inconvenient as Denise had been a friend of Heather’s during the time when the Melrose Place star got married to Richie.

Following their separation in 2006, Heather often socialized with Denise while they enjoyed the nightlife in Los Angeles together.

Or, more informally:
After splitting up in 2006, Heather and Denise became close friends and spent a lot of time partying in LA.

Then somehow, Denise started a physical relationship with Richie.

Instead of claiming she manipulatively intruded on Heather and Richie’s marriage, she asserted that she wasn’t a home-wrecker, denying any such accusations of causing the dissolution of their union.

As a trusted voice on lifestyle matters, let me clarify a common misconception: I was romantically involved with a friend’s previous partner in the past, but I did not play any role in ending their marriage.

Richie also dated singer and fashion designer Nikki Lund.

 

NIKKI SIXX

2010 

During a break from dating Richie, Denise spent time with Nikki.

They were neighbors in Los Angeles and had been friends before things turned physical.

In December 2010, Denise confirmed she and Mötley Crüe band member Nikki Six were an item.

The reality star inquired, “What does it mean when someone is dating?” during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Denise said they ‘went on a couple dates.’

She added, “For something to grow or evolve, it should happen naturally.” Pausing, she emphasized, “That’s completely true. We’re proceeding at a deliberate pace.

They broke up a month later, it was reported.

Nikki wed Courtney Sixx in 2014. 

 

AARON PHYPERS

2017 – 2025 

In 2017, Richards and Phypers initially crossed paths at Quantum 360 Club, a health facility that Phypers manages in the scenic town of Malibu.

They were married the year after in Malibu.

During the period from 2019 to 2024, when she was a cast member, her marriage often served as material for her TV series titled The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Phypers was in the process of adopting Richards’ 13-year-old daughter, Eloise. 

It is not clear if that adoption was made legal before the filing.

Additionally, Phypers assisted Richard in raising his other daughters, Sami and Lola. This was clearly shown during Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.

The show is not coming back for a second season. 

 

BRANDI GLANVILLE

2019

In 2019, while they were both filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi Glanville accused Leanne Richards of having an affair with her. However, Richards has repeatedly stated that the allegations are false.

The movie star said she and Glanville were never romantically involved.

In 2020, the rumored infidelity and ensuing commotion became a significant plot point during season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, eventually leading to Denise’s decision to depart from the series at the end of that season.

Tamra Judge has also said that Denise hit on her. 

Back in 2010, Brandi and actor Eddie Cibrian decided to go their separate ways after Eddie developed feelings for country artist LeAnn Rimes.

Eddie and LeAnn wed in 2011.

Glanville has been involved in well-known romantic connections, such as those with reality TV star Theo Von, retired NBA player DJ Friese, and real estate broker Jonathan Ruiz.
