Since 1991, Tommy Hilfiger has been connected to sports through its role as Team Lotus’ official clothing sponsor. Now, this tradition carries on by supporting a film featuring global brand ambassador Damson Idris. Additionally, as a significant retail partner in the continent, Zalando recently hosted an exclusive event to honor the iconic American label.

As a fervent enthusiast, I found myself starting my day immersed in a captivating panel discussion held at Zalando HQ. This event was masterfully orchestrated by Shoshannah Richards, with esteemed personalities such as Tommy Hilfiger, Zalando co-founder David Schneider, Leni Klum from the Tommy family, Lucien Laviscount, and Noel Robinson gracing us with their presence. This engaging dialogue offered a wealth of knowledge about the label, the fashion industry’s current landscape, and how the emergence of a new generation shapes future trends.

Following the discussion, the celebration moved to one of the city’s most historic eateries, Borchardt. There, guests were welcomed to peruse a retrospective exhibit entitled “40 years of American style,” featuring iconic outfits such as Aaliyah’s ’90s two-piece ensemble, Snoop Dogg’s striped rugby shirt, and Damson Idris’ racing suit from the film F1® The Movie. Attendees were afforded a close examination of the styles that shaped the brand.

As the day ended, A Song For You, a Berlin-based vocal group, took center stage for a lively concert. Later on, DJ sets by members of the Zalando community kept the party going until the wee hours of the night.
