Woman in viral ‘bathroom’ video with Wayne Carey goes public and unleashes on the women who filmed her

The woman who was captured on video leaving a restroom with famous Australian Rules Football player, Wayne Carey, has chosen to speak out about her significant upset upon the distribution of this viral video.

Kate Aston, aged 38 and a marketing and communications professional from Melbourne, characterized the sharing of the video as an intentional form of harassment or intimidation.

On Thursdays, Astor shared a detailed post on her Instagram Stories, explaining that she decided to stay quiet earlier to shield her career and emotional well-being. However, she’s now breaking the silence to call out those responsible for leaking the video, as well as to correct any misunderstandings.

‘The events that took place in my life could happen to anyone, and it’s unfair for anyone to experience what I have endured – the harm, the rumors, the consequences on my career, all due to the malicious acts of a select few.’

In the midst of charting my future professional path, where making an impact is crucial, the emotional and practical consequences have been substantial, I must admit.

Who might consider hiring me, going out with me, or connecting with me now? What possibilities remain after everything I’ve been through?

The executive indicated she would be taking legal action over the matter. 

She stated that although it has just been a few days since the event occurred, the harm done to her reputation has been immense, and her capacity to live a regular life has been significantly impaired.

In response to harmful comments made by these women and others, I find myself in a situation where I must safeguard my reputation. Therefore, I am compelled to take action to do so.

‘Two women not known to me have turned my life upside down and I have to set the record straight.’

Aston believes her future finances have also been impacted by the release of the video. 

In her professional opinion, she stated that her skills have been called into doubt, leading to an immediate financial impact that continues to take a toll on her daily life. This situation may have lasting and potentially permanent consequences.

Though I may seem robust on the outside, those who are near understand that the burden I’ve carried these past days has been immense.

As a lifestyle expert, I am using my voice today, not just for myself, but for every woman who has experienced being targeted. It’s time we stand together and fight against this issue that affects far too many of us.

She explained that she found herself in this predicament solely due to the harmful online behavior of others.

‘There needs to be some sort of accountability for their actions.’

Moreover, I aspire that by shedding light on this occurrence and pursuing legal measures, we can establish a fresh standard, one that deters similar conduct from persisting in the coming days.

On Wednesday, football legend Wayne admitted that he’s the individual in a widely-shared video, which reportedly depicted a man and a woman exiting a restroom in a popular Melbourne nightspot.

As a conscientious lifestyle advisor, I’ve reached out to Victoria Police myself, aiming to bring those responsible for recording and disseminating the troubling video to justice for their actions.

The video, captured at Toorak Cellars bar located in Armadale within the city’s southeast, depicts Carey and an unidentified woman entering the frame about 20 seconds apart.

As a woman passes by, a voice can be heard saying, “We’ve caught you on tape,” followed by a question, “What’s he up to in there?” The woman then seems awkward or uneasy, as she mutters, “She appears to be embarrassed.

As a devoted follower, I’ve found myself expressing my thoughts about a recent video that has sparked controversy. Much like Carey himself, I view it as an instance of ‘slanderous shaming’ and online bullying. Both parties have made it clear that there was no secret rendezvous or ‘tryst’ in the restrooms, as some may speculate.

He expressed that a more accurate description would be going through multiple feelings over the past three days, rather than just being annoyed, during his appearance on Sam Newman’s You Cannot Be Serious podcast.

‘I’ve gone through disbelief, sadness, I’ve gone through anger.

‘This woman has been thrown into this just because I could kick a footy.

‘And you’ve got two vile, disturbing, probably p**sed women who want to do this to another woman.

‘That’s all they were doing, they were s**t-shaming another woman.

If two men had carried out such an action, it would create a massive stir, with everyone talking about it as if it were the most sensational news.

However, given that the act involves two women and a third woman, it can be challenging to decipher the situation as this third woman has experienced various complications in her personal life, which I have come to learn more about subsequently.

I’m appalled at the callousness of those individuals who seem to find amusement in their actions, which have far-reaching impacts, all while sipping on their chardonnay, perched high above, carrying out their deeds. It’s truly disheartening.

Once more, I won’t mention their names since doing so would only add to their shame. Instead, I’ll leave the justice system to handle the matter.
