A long-running Disney franchise you haven’t heard of is dominating streaming charts

Enthusiasts of zombie movies and shows are particularly dedicated. It appears that among all other genres, fans of zombies might be the most passionate, as suggested by the rankings on Disney+ from FlixPatrol. Interestingly, no less than four teen-undead musical comedy series in this genre are currently popular on the platform.

Instead, just Snow White and Captain America: Brave New World managed to secure spots among the top four, leaving the rest of the franchise‘s offerings in lower positions.

The surge of interest in a relatively unknown franchise, primarily due to the release of “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires” on July 10th.

What to Read Next

The surge in its popularity likely caused the previous three installments to re-enter the top charts, possibly due to the beginning of summer vacations in certain regions of the U.S. and the U.K.

In the newest installment of Zed, Addison, and their teenage friends’ musical monster saga – composed of zombies, cheerleaders, aliens, and werewolves – our intrepid characters meet fresh bands of strange creatures.

In a more casual and straightforward manner, we could say: At the end of their first year in college, Zed (zombie) and Addison (cheerleader) seem to be growing apart as they each concentrate on their passions – football for Zed and cheerleading for Addison.

Following their separation during a journey, Zed encounters a band of daywalkers, whereas Addison crosses paths with some vampires (quite an unexpected turn of events).

The main idea, as usual, revolves around bridging divides to foster harmony, allowing us to unite in rhythm and movement, and absolutely not about consuming brains.

It’s uncertain if a fifth “Zombies” movie will be made, but Milo Manheim (the actor who plays Zed) hinted to Deadline that: “One of the fantastic aspects of this series is that we’ve essentially built a versatile universe that can head in any direction.

We’re growing beyond the borders of Seabrook, venturing into new territories. It makes me wonder about the outcome. I believe the world might appreciate another take on zombie movies.

Zombies 4 is available to watch on Disney+.
