A well-known radio personality has finally spoken up following her departure from work, which was prompted by some distressing news she had received.
On Wednesday morning at around 7 o’clock, Jade Robran, the host of FIVEAA’s Winter Breakfast program in Adelaide, unexpectedly needed to depart from the studio.
Tom Rehn, her co-host, spoke about her unexpected absence back then, revealing that she was dealing with a tragic family loss, a death in her family.
He shared that Jade had to leave abruptly due to some sudden and heartbreaking news she received.
‘There’s been a death in her family so we wish Jade all the very best.’

Thursday saw Jade posting an old, monochrome snapshot of her late uncle, legendary AFL figure Barrie Robran, after his passing at the age of 77.
She titled the picture briefly, saying ‘Vale’ accompanied by ‘1947 – 2025’, and included a heart symbol in her post.
Barrie is known as one of the top players ever produced by South Australia, and he was honored by being inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
From 1967 to 1980, he participated in 201 matches for North Adelaide. During this time, he was awarded the Magarey Medal, the most prestigious honor for a South Australian football player, on three separate instances.
On Wednesday evening, the Australian Football League posted an identical image, accompanied by a message of tribute penned by AFL Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Dillon.
Additionally, Robran served as a coach for North from 1978 to 1980. During this time, he managed to secure two victories in the SANFL championships. Furthermore, his exceptional contributions earned him induction into the South Australian Football Hall of Fame.
In other cities, there’s often heated discussion about who their best player of all time was. However, such debates have never arisen in Adelaide because anyone from South Australia who witnessed Robran play unanimously considers him as the greatest. (Dillon wrote.)

‘We send our best wishes to all the Robran family in this difficult time.’
The post cited Robran’s many accomplishments on the sporting field.
In his career, he participated in 201 matches for North Adelaide, 17 games for the South Australian team, and emerged victorious in two championships.
He also won seven consecutive best and fairest awards.
Jade’s colleagues were quick to send their condolences following news of her uncle’s death.
