Royal Mail! Charles’ visit for Holocaust survivor’s 100th
More and more individuals are receiving a birthday greeting from the monarch to mark their centennial, yet few can claim that King Charles himself hand-delivered it to them.
That is, however, what happened on Tuesday. I can disclose.
The Monarch quietly paid a clandestine call at a residence in the northern part of London, where he discreetly delivered a greeting card to Anita Lasker-Wallfisch.
She is a cellist whose life has been truly remarkable.
She is currently the sole survivor of the Women’s Orchestra from Auschwitz. At the age of 19, she was featured in a BBC interview on April 15, 1945 – the day of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp’s liberation, where she had been relocated six months prior.
Speaking German, which was her native tongue, she expressed: ‘Let me start by sharing some thoughts on Auschwitz. Those who managed to survive are anxious that the world might doubt the atrocities that took place there.’
A representative from Buckingham Palace has chosen not to provide a statement. Nevertheless, I’ve learned through a reliable source that the King made a personal visit to Mrs. Lasker-Wallfisch’s residence to extend his birthday wishes and personally deliver a centenarian greeting card. The encounter lasted approximately 30 minutes.
In a moving tribute during this commemorative year marking the liberation of the concentration camps, His Majesty sought to underscore his solidarity and camaraderie by highlighting her remarkable tale of struggle and triumph in the face of Holocaust hardships.
‘For over five decades, the King has been acquainted with Anita. This relationship extends not just to their shared history but also through her role as a co-founder of the English Chamber Orchestra. In fact, a painting of her is displayed in the East Wing of Buckingham Palace, a commission from the King himself during his time as the Prince of Wales, as part of his Seven Portraits: Surviving the Holocaust project.’
A Buckingham Palace spokesman declined to comment.
Klass acts are honoured for charity work

Myleene Klass and Leona Lewis gained popularity through talent competitions, captivating audiences, and they’ve since earned the esteemed recognition from the British Royal Family.
The pair were honoured by the King at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.
1) Leona, aged 40, was bestowed with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in recognition of her contributions to music and charitable work. In a similar vein, Myleene, 47 years old, who serves as an ambassador for Tommy’s pregnancy charity, received an MBE for increasing awareness about women’s health issues, particularly miscarriages, following the loss of four babies.
In a recent disclosure, the ex-singer from Hear’Say shares: “As I ascended, a string quartet performed a refined rendition of ‘I’m On Top of the World’ by The Carpenters. Then, Charles bestowed upon me my medal.
Bad school run for Sir John Madejski
He has cultivated countless ventures, ranging from a hotel on the Galapagos Islands to Reading Football Club – one that he elevated to the Premier League.
It wouldn’t be unreasonable for Sir John Madejski to question the validity of the consultation process, as it appears that this action could potentially remove his name from the Reading school, a place he generously donated £3 million to in 2008.
Performed by the Greenshaw Learning Trust, this process has left Sir John’s friends in disappointment, a situation I revealed last month. Now, fresh data explains why.
160 individuals responded, with 53 preferring to keep the current name. The remaining participants considered three alternative options, one being ‘Hartland High’, which was suggested as a potential new name. However, the trust remains silent about the estimated £100,000 cost associated with the proposed name change or the number of votes cast for ‘Hartland High’.
Sophie cooks a real kitchen nightmare

It’s lucky that Sophie Turner’s partner, Perry Pearson, who is the son and heir of Viscount Cowdray, has the means to hire a personal chef.
For the Game of Thrones star admits cooking is not her forte.
The actress, 29, states, “I’m an economical choice for a date,” suggesting her taste in food is more suitable for a young child. She admits, “My culinary skills are not impressive as I’m not much of a cook.” When asked about a dinner party at her home, she jokes, “I’d offer jacket potato with beans and cheese to my guests, but in reality, I don’t host parties – I prefer visiting their homes instead.
Very wise when Perry’s family home is Cowdray Park, the 16,000-acre West Sussex estate.
This past weekend, Bob Geldof and Sir Brian May shared a heartfelt reunion at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London during their attendance of “Just For One Day” – The Live Aid Musical.
However, the singer, aged 73, disputes claims that Queen’s performance sparked donations 40 years ago. Instead, he contends that it was David Bowie who truly captivated the audience and created the pivotal moment, stating: “[David] Bowie stole the show.
In his first appearance as James Bond in Casino Royale, when asked if he preferred his martini shaken or stirred, Daniel Craig responded with a nonchalant attitude, saying “Am I supposed to care?” or “Does it matter to me?
Now the actor’s half-brother hopes for more positive responses from his customers.
Harry Craig, who is 34 years old, apparently launched a wine consultation business named Cork N Talk. He explains that clients can arrange for private tastings where he will visit their home. During these sessions, attendees and their friends can choose a specific theme or attend one of his public events, which require purchasing tickets.
Fleur sees Meghan as simply The Best

Although she’s stirred up numerous problems within the Royal Family, it appears that the Duchess of Sussex has been beneficial to the monarchy.
The perspective on this matter comes from Fleur East, a notable figure from Strictly, who is currently playing the main character in the Tina Turner musical, titled simply “Tina,” running in London’s West End.
When Meghan tied the knot with Harry, it was a moment that left everyone thinking, “This is quite significant!”, she recalls. I can still vividly remember the wedding ceremony and witnessing the black cleric in St. George’s Chapel as well as the soulful gospel choir.
Fleur, aged 37 and a participant in this year’s VE Day festivities, expresses her delight by stating: “It’s wonderful to see Meghan present as a multiracial royal member.
