Shappi Khorsandi claims bar staff at London pub humiliated her friend for having a visible panty line before ‘shoulder barging’ comedian in now-deleted rant

Shappi Khorsandi alleges that her friend experienced public embarrassment at a London pub due to a noticeable panty line, and subsequently was pushed roughly by a female staff member after confronting the bartender about the inappropriate remark.

This 52-year-old stand-up comedian frequently appears on talk show formats like “Have I Got News For You” and “8 out of 10 Cats.

On Monday, she expressed her displeasure on Instagram over a reported occurrence at The Grange in Ealing, and subsequently announced that she would avoid the venue in future.

She was angry because, at The Grange pub in Ealing, her friend was reprimanded since her skirt revealed the shape of her underwear under certain lighting conditions. They mentioned it was a family establishment.

Shappi stated, “We won’t return to The Grange pub during summer as they don’t allow summer attire.

‘Otherwise you get shamed. But the bar staff have all got their bra straps showing.’

Shappi clarified that she wouldn’t feature her friend, whom she characterized as both youthful and radiant, on the screen due to the fact that the friend was deeply distressed following recent events.

She added in her caption, ‘We were simply adult students enjoying a drink, not challenging anyone’s personal values related to family.’ Additionally, she was dressed casually and appropriately for the season.

In my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, when the female manager mentioned her discomfort due to her friend’s visible panty line (VP L), I found myself questioning, ‘How intently was she observing?’ Frankly, it wasn’t noticeable to me.

‘The bar manager’s bra and undergarments were accidentally exposed. She appeared upset when we politely brought this to her attention.’

As a passionate advocate for women’s rights, I calmly disputed the decision when it was brought to my attention.

However, after the incident occurred, Shappi asserted that she was pushed or jostled roughly by another female colleague.

She casually mentioned to a female bartender that the situation was absurd, and was then pushed roughly by someone who seemed upset, as she noted in the caption. (The phrase “mildly sunburnt” has been removed for clarity, and “drinking shandy responsibly” is implied and not crucial to the sentence’s meaning.)

‘Goodness. Good job my weeble frame bounced me back up.’

The comic mentioned that she rarely publicly criticizes venues, but this particular incident went beyond acceptable limits.

‘We came for an end of term drink. Not a morality tale,’ she continued.
