Shadow Council Private Limited has declared that their 2D sandbox survival MMORPG titled “Afterglow” will be released on Android and iOS devices this year. Distinctively, it caters to players aged thirty and above.

Created with busy gamers in mind, you assume the role of a refugee embarking on a new journey across the devastated Southwestern United States to determine your own fate in this unforgiving landscape.

As you venture forth, you’ll encounter mysterious objects and occurrences that have dramatically altered the surroundings. You’ll be able to direct a squad of up to three characters to collect, manufacture, or fight off adversaries. The advantage here is that the game isn’t strictly idle; with the semi-idle system in place, your team will continue their tasks even when you step away.
Strategic combat, flexible play, and no pay-to-win in a rich retro-themed 1980s world
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m particularly drawn to
The game appears highly intriguing, featuring an ’80s motif, multiple factions, semi-autonomous gameplay, a player-managed economy, captivating narratives, quests, concealed treasure troves, and enigmatic CELL entities. It also boasts PvP mechanics involving territory control, and most appealingly, it eschews pay-to-win strategies. This setup has piqued my interest significantly.

This year, Afterglow will debut on both Android and iOS devices. At present, it’s undergoing closed alpha testing, and you can apply for participation by completing the playtesting access application form. If chosen, be sure to review their testing guidelines for an enjoyable experience.
