HBO has debuted a first look at Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid in the upcoming Harry Potter series.

The new version features Josh Gad assuming the character of the half-giant groundskeeper at Hogwarts, previously played by Robbie Coltrane in all eight Harry Potter movies. Gad’s appearance mirrors that of Coltrane with his long beard and shaggy hair, as well as earthy wardrobe choices.

Not long after HBO unveiled a tantalizing sneak peek of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, this picture emerged, featuring him in the recognizable Gryffindor attire and the famous round spectacles.

Alongside Frost and McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton steps into the role of Hermione Granger, while Alastair Stout takes on Ron Weasley. The ensemble also features John Lithgow portraying Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
