Will Sydney Sweeney become the next 007 Bond Girl?
Contrary to some rumors, Sydney Sweeney is not presently scheduled to appear as a Bond Girl in the forthcoming James Bond production by Amazon MGM Studios.
A source close to the situation informed TMZ on Tuesday that the 27-year-old actress is not at present engaged in discussions about joining the extended franchise of spy films.
There have been rumors that Sweeney might join forces with Amazon MGM for a high-budget movie following his recent attendance at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez held in Italy earlier this month.
Sweeney is partnering with Bezos and his wife Sanchez on a different venture – a lingerie brand, which they are financing through their venture capital firm Coatue, where they both hold significant assets.
Rumors surfaced about the Emmy-honored actress possibly joining the project, with many believing that she might be planning to channel her rising stardom towards this esteemed movie series.
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Sweeney and Amazon MGM for further comment on the story.

In recent times, Sweeney has enjoyed a successful professional streak. She graced our screens in the 2023 romantic comedy “Anyone But You,” alongside Glen Powell. Furthermore, she starred in the 2024 horror film “Immaculate” and the 2025 AppleTV+ thriller “Echo Valley.
Rumors spreading to TMZ that the actress from Euphoria could play a Bond Girl are more like overzealous speculation by fans, rather than actual plans being considered for the role.
Production on the motion picture has not yet advanced to the point where the roles were being cast.
Last month, producers designated Denis Villeneuve as the lead director, and they haven’t found a replacement for Daniel Craig yet, who is stepping down from the main character’s position.
As an ardent admirer of the James Bond franchise, I’m thrilled to share my enthusiasm as I delve deeper into the details of my role in the upcoming blockbuster movie.
One of my first experiences going to the movies is linked to 007, as I mentioned recently. Growing up, I would watch James Bond films alongside my father, starting from Dr. No with Sean Connery.
As a dedicated James Bond enthusiast, his world is hallowed ground to me. I aim to uphold the longstanding customs and pave the way for countless future adventures.
In simpler terms, the director of Dune expressed that taking on the 007 role would be a significant duty, yet equally thrilling and an immense privilege for him.

In more straightforward terms, the latest addition to the film series is the 2021 film “No Time to Die,” which signifies the last portrayal by Daniel Craig as the iconic spy character.
57-year-old Craig shared with The Sunday Times last year how the role spanning over five movies from 2006 to 2021 significantly influenced his overall acting career.
Initially, I felt compelled to explore other professional opportunities apart from the Bond series, yet I found myself drawn back, as it were. My fame, if one can call it that, was growing, and invitations poured in for me to star in various productions. Truly remarkable.
He commented, “Many actors face long periods without work, so one accepts job opportunities when they come. However, the roles I was offered didn’t fulfill me. Ultimately, though, I was compensated.
“After completing a long project, I felt completely drained and needed nearly half a year to regain my emotional balance. I’ve always believed that personal life should take priority, but when my job demanded more attention for some time, it left me feeling depleted.”
This version maintains the original sentiment while using simpler language and a more conversational tone. It still conveys that the speaker needed a long recovery period due to emotional exhaustion from work, and highlights their belief in prioritizing personal life over work when necessary.
