Ariana Grande and Josh Gad to star in Jon M. Chu’s ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’
In the cherished 1990 book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, penned by Dr. Seuss, he encourages you to pick your own path and guide yourself wherever you wish.
As a cinephile, I find myself quite intrigued by the latest news in the film industry. Ariana Grande, the renowned pop sensation, continues to expand her artistic horizons by securing yet another acting role. Notably, this is her second joint venture with the talented director Jon M. Chu, who brought “Wicked” to life on the big screen. It’s fascinating to witness such a versatile artist stepping into new realms and I can hardly wait to see what magic they create together!
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be sharing the screen with Josh Gad in the animated adaptation of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, as announced on Tuesday by Warner Bros. Slated for release in March 2028, this movie will be helmed by director Chu and features original music from the EGOT-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, renowned for their work on “Dear Evan Hansen,” “La La Land,” and “The Greatest Showman.” Can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey!
This morning, Grande and Gad shared the news on their Instagram profiles, posting a picture of them in a recording studio, showing off their scripts that mirrored the book’s cover design.

Ariana Grande demonstrates her contemporary resemblance to Lucille Ball through ‘Popular,’ the most humorous number in ‘Wicked.’ Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how this comedic masterpiece was created.
Grande expressed her affection in her story for this book, its script, the enchanting universe created by Dr. Seuss, and the exceptional team of creative minds behind it, including Josh Gad who she praised as a brilliant source of joy. She’s overjoyed to be involved in this project.
Gad has never been more eager to explore new destinations,” he shared, “and we’re brainstorming something truly extraordinary for your enjoyment.
This year, the artist known as Grande has unveiled a deluxe version of her album “Eternal Sunshine.” She is set to appear in the upcoming second part of “Wicked,” hitting theaters on November 21. Furthermore, the Grammy-winning star will team up with Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller for the fourth installment of “Meet the Parents,” slated for release in November 2026.
Actor Gad, famous for “Frozen” and “The Book of Mormon,” is now part of the cast for “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Hollywood Bowl. He’ll perform alongside Cynthia Erivo, who starred with Grande in “Wicked,” from August 1st to 3rd. This Broadway sensation has several upcoming movies too, including the sequel to “Spaceballs”, “Adulthood”, and the potential third installment of “Frozen”.
