Ariana Grande announces her next movie is based on a Dr Seuss book and includes a star from Frozen

Ariana Grande has completed her work on ‘Wicked: For Good’ and eagerly anticipates creating even more enchantment on the silver screen, where she can display both her musical and acting abilities.

The Oscar-nominated individual, aged 32, shared plans to collaborate once more with John Chu, the director of “Wicked,” for a film adaptation of the cherished Dr. Seuss book titled “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!

Grande shared the announcement from the Warner Bros. studio in her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.

@ArianaGrande and @JoshGad – Here’s where you’re off to! This exciting journey is directed by @JohnChu, featuring tunes penned by @PasekandPaul. Look forward to it on IMAX screens in 2028.

Characters playfully hinting at the ongoing production, occasionally concealing their visages behind notebooks filled with screenplays, all the while donning headphones – a subtle sign that this could be an animated production.

The storyline is yet unveiled, but the beloved Dr. Seuss tale centers around a spirited young explorer navigating through the highs and lows that life presents.

The cherished tale delivers uplifting, rhythmic lessons, for instance, ‘You possess wisdom up here (pointing to head). Shoes on your feet can guide you anywhere you wish to go.’

Grande expressed her passion for the project by saying, “I adore this book, I adore this script, I adore the enchanting universe of @drseuss,” alongside a picture featuring herself with Gad.

I adore this fantastic team of imaginative individuals, and let me tell you, Josh Gad, you’re simply brilliant! It’s such an honor to be part of this very unique group.

She concluded the note thanking Warner Bros. and director John Chu, closing with an infinity sign.

Frozen star Gad, 44, also shared his excitement.

I’ve never been this thrilled to explore new destinations! We’re conjuring up something exceptionally unique for your enjoyment, and I can assure you it’s extraordinary. The talented crew at Warner Brothers Animation has assembled an all-star team for the project.

For years now, I’ve eagerly anticipated the opportunity to collaborate with Ariana, Jon, and the duo Pasek and Paul. The anticipation has been worthwhile, and although there is still work ahead of us, rest assured that our project is already underway and progressing swiftly.

In an exciting turn of events, I’ve been given the opportunity to collaborate with the extraordinary duo, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Known for their Tony Award-winning masterpiece, Dear Evan Hansen, as well as the captivating soundtrack for The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman, they will be creating original songs for a project I’m involved with. It’s truly an honor to work alongside such talented individuals!

Fans were nearly as ecstatic about the announcement as Grande and Gad.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d say it goes something like this: “Ariana Grande and Jon M. Chu are my modern-day Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio!” gushed a fan with enthusiasm. Meanwhile, another admirer couldn’t help but exclaim, “ARIANA AND DR. SEUSS? Absolutely, positively, yes!

Initially, some people felt let down due to having to wait over two years for the final release. However, an enthusiast expressed their eagerness with, “CAN’T WAIT SO LONG BUT SO EXCITED!

Viewers can look forward to watching Wicked: For Good on the big screen as soon as November; the premiere was initially set for November 21st.

Grande has also signed to be a part of the fourth film in the popular Meet the Parents franchise.

In the upcoming storyline, the events are anticipated to resemble those from the initial movie, but with a new twist: instead of someone else, Grande will be the freshly engaged relative in the household.

The female character set to marry one of Ben Stiller and Teri Polo’s sons is described as a strong-willed woman who may seem like an odd fit for him, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The romantic comedy is expected to debut in theaters on Thanksgiving day in November 2026.
