Clash Royale Merge Tactics Troop Traits Guide: Overview, Types, Complete list, and more

In June 2025, an update to Clash Royale introduced a new game mode called Merge Tactics. Unlike the traditional gameplay, this mode offers a fresh perspective on strategy, with layers of depth hidden within it. One notable aspect is that every troop participating in Merge Tactics in Clash Royale possesses unique traits.

So understanding about them becomes important as we should know how these things work, what type of troops fall under the category and all the necessary details about the boosts they provide, which are listed in this article.

Clash Royale: Merge Tactics Troop Traits Explained

As an avid Clash Royale player, I’ve discovered a unique aspect in the game called Merge Tactics. In this feature, Traits serve as special abilities that significantly bolster my team when I strategically deploy enough troops sharing the same Trait. However, it’s essential to note that these powers are only activated for troops already on the battlefield, not those still on the bench, adding an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay.

Each military unit comes equipped with two distinctive Features: an Origin Feature and a Role Feature. Gathering sufficient units sharing the same Feature triggers a bonus that could make battles more manageable for you.

The table below categorizes the troops and their functions accordingly.
