Tsuburaya Productions Company Limited has unveiled its upcoming match-3 puzzle game titled “Ultraman Puzzle Shuwatch”. This game is scheduled to release on Android and iOS platforms this year. The development of the game is being jointly handled by Metafield Inc. and Studio Inc., which are subsidiaries under Tsuburaya Fields Holdings Group.

Growing up with fond memories of Ultraman and owning a toy of him, I’m genuinely thrilled about this new release. Although it’s categorized as a match-3 puzzle game, what sets it apart is the inclusion of characters from every Ultraman era, ranging from Showa to the current Reiwa period. From my perspective, these diverse Ultra Heroes and Monsters make it an enticing option worth exploring.

Over 60 heroes and kaiju from different eras await you

As a dedicated fan, I can’t wait to embark on this galactic adventure that takes place on the distant planet Milanos! This game promises an extraordinary encounter or unlock of over 60 characters, including some of my all-time favorite Ultra heroes like Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga Multi Type, and Ultra Seven. The experience doesn’t stop there, as you’ll also come across legendary Kaijus such as Alien Baltan, Gomorrah, Zetton, and many more!

Although I haven’t formed a complete opinion about the game just yet, it seems designed to attract a broader player base with its user-friendly match-3 puzzle mechanics. Despite my feeling that another genre could have been more fitting for this renowned IP, I’m eager to discover what innovative elements the developers are planning to unveil.
