Erin McNaught gives update on her eight-month-old son after his brain tumour diagnosis: ‘This sunrise might be the last one’
In my role as a dedicated lifestyle enthusiast, I’m excited to share some personal news that I believe will resonate with many of you. Recently, I found myself on an unexpected journey when my eight-month-old son, Obi, required surgery to remove a brain tumor.
As I navigate through this challenging time, I wanted to keep my loved ones and followers informed about his progress. I’m thrilled to report that the operation was successful, and we are now focusing on his recovery. I’ve learned so much about resilience, patience, and the power of hope during this experience, and I’m grateful for every day with our little warrior by my side. Thank you all for your love and support as we continue to face this journey together.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share an inspiring update: Every day, my dear 43-year-old Australian model friend’s son is surpassing his previous achievements in the recovery process. It’s truly heartwarming!
One month ago, Obi underwent surgery to take out a large brain tumor that was discovered just a few days beforehand,” she posted on Instagram.
Later, Erin reminisced about the emotions she experienced on the day of their son’s operation, following an early morning trip to the hospital with partner Stace Cadet.
She stood on the balcony, taking in the sunrise while tears streamed down her face. The idea that this could be our final sunrise together with him here on Earth was too heavy to bear, she whispered.

After the surgery was successful, we stepped out onto the balcony and shared a moment watching the sunset, shedding tears once more together.
‘Since then, Obi has blown us away with his recovery. Day by day, achieving more and more.’
Erin expressed that although she’s unsure about what lies ahead, she’s overflowing with joy, contentment, and profound gratitude.
We embrace him tightly, just as we do with our older sons, and we’re filled with awe at the beauty of our small household. We realize how fortunate we are, and our love for one another knows no bounds.
Erin revealed her son Obi had undergone surgery to remove a brain tumour last month.
She posted a touching picture on social media, showing her kissing her little boy on his chest as he rested in a hospital bed, accompanied by heartfelt comments.
Today, Obi underwent a procedure to take out the tumor. The fantastic crew here is quite pleased with how it turned out, as reported by Erin.
‘While it’s too early to tell much more, we are hoping this will have been his biggest hurdle.

She went on to thank her followers for their support during this difficult time.
Embracing each moment as it unfolds, I’m incredibly grateful for this present day. A heartfelt thanks to each one of you for the lovely words of encouragement you’ve shared with me.
This past week, Erin and her partner Stace Cadet announced the heartbreaking discovery that their pet Obi has a brain tumor.
The pair, who became parents for the first time together in October of the previous year, released a heartfelt shared announcement, voicing their distress about Obi’s ongoing health struggle.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve observed a significant change in Obi’s demeanor and overall joy.
‘He was having problems eating, sleeping and most recently, keeping his head straight.’
Under their doctor’s recommendation, they decided to get Obi scanned using an MRI after they spotted concerning alterations.
Earlier this week, a scan uncovered a startling result: a significant tumor situated on the right half of his brain.

Around 6:00 PM on Tuesday evening, we had a meeting with a neurosurgeon who delivered the devastating update.
‘We are absolutely shattered and the last few days have been our hardest days.’
In December, Daily Mail Australia was the first to report on the happy beginning of Erin and Stace’s parenthood, which later took a turn with some distressing news, as they welcomed their son into the world in October.
The couple shared at the time that they had named him Obi and were over the moon to bring him home.
‘We are so in love with him, we can’t believe he’s finally here,’ Stace said in December.
Previously, the ex-host of MTV shared details about her challenging pregnancy, disclosing that it was a delicate situation at certain points, with health issues arising during the late stages of pregnancy.
