On Tuesday, I’ll get to learn about the nominees for this year’s prestigious television awards. Among the contenders, there are established gems like “The White Lotus” from HBO, along with exciting newcomers such as “The Studio,” which is making waves on Apple TV+.

Here is everything you need to know about this year’s Emmy nominations.

When will Emmy nominations be announced?

On Tuesday, at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time or 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time, the Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego, along with “What We Do in the Shadows” actor Harvey Guillén and actress Brenda Song from “Running Wilds”, will unveil the nominees for the 77th Emmy Awards.

Who are the predicted nominees?

It’s predicted that ‘Hacks’ and ‘The Studio’ will dominate in the comedy genre. Other potential leaders include ‘The Bear’, ‘Only Murders in the Building’, ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘Shrinking’, ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, and ‘Nobody Wants This.’

Potential nominations for drama series might encompass titles like “Severance”, “The Pitt”, “The White Lotus” and “The Last of Us”. Additionally, “Slow Horses”, “Andor”, “The Diplomat” and “Squid Game” are also contenders.

Among the top contenders for the limited series are “Adolescence”, “The Penguin”, “Yearning for Intimacy”, “Monsters: Unmasking the Menendez Brothers” and “Disclaim”.

After nominations are announced, final-round voting will commence Aug. 18 and conclude Aug. 27.

When are the 2025 Emmy Awards?

On September 14th at 5 p.m. Pacific Time/8 p.m. Eastern Time, the 77th Emmy Awards will unfold at the Peacock Theater in L.A. Live, downtown Los Angeles. This grand event, hosted by Nate Bargatze for the first time, will be broadcast live on CBS and can be streamed on Paramount+ the following day.

Jesse Collins Entertainment is producing the Emmy Awards for the third consecutive year.

The Creative Arts Emmys will be held Sept. 6 and 7.
