Earlier this month, a grand celebration spanning three days took place at Lucy Dickins’ expansive estate in Wiltshire, a long-time agent and friend of singer Adele. This event was thrown in honor of her 50th birthday and attracted some of the most influential figures in the entertainment industry and beyond.

Notable actress Keira Knightley, who has been nominated for an Oscar, joined other distinguished personalities such as Danny Dyer from “Rivals” and “EastEnders,” on the dance floor.

At the event, too, was Simon Konecki – Adele’s former spouse and Angelo’s father, who is 12 years old. He arrived from California specifically for this occasion.

However, with such a distinguished group of attendees, the missing presence of Adele, aged 37, was quite intriguing. People were left wondering where she was, especially since it was assumed that she would shine among them, sharing the spotlight with Lucy on her special day. Yet, there was no trace of the renowned singer from Tottenham, who many had predicted would be the highlight of the event.

It’s well-known that the duo, who have been friends for twenty years, are exceptionally tight-knit. Currently, Adele, having wrapped up her highly successful two-year Las Vegas residency, Weekends With Adele, last November, finds herself with some free time.

It appears that, so far, there’s neither a planned new album nor any scheduled performances that could potentially keep her busy.

It’s not surprising that Adele’s unexpected absence sparked conversations at the party, as one source revealed: “It’s quite baffling – where on earth was Adele? She and Lucy are inseparable. They’re so tight, and this event marked a significant moment for her.

It’s quite unusual – very unexpected. Right now, she doesn’t seem to have any upcoming performances or tours planned. She mentioned a while back that she was actually not employed at the moment. So, there must be some compelling explanation for this situation.

Regardless of their separation in 2019, following eight years as a couple and a single year of marriage, simply being with Konecki, who attended Eton, did not prevent her from keeping her distance.

It’s clear that the couple maintains a strong relationship while raising their son, Angelo. She is currently in a blissful engagement with American sports agent Rich Paul, whom she has been dating for four years. The two are reportedly extremely content together.

But perhaps this relationship offers some clues to her absence.

Though Adele is very secretive about her personal matters and is known for being one of the most private celebrities, she shared a few intriguing glimpses into her near-term plans last year.

In May 2024, while performing at Caesars Palace as part of her Las Vegas shows, she expressed her desire to have a second child, ideally a daughter, once she completed her tours in the United States and Germany, where she had a residency in Munich the previous summer.

In the video that a fan posted, she expressed that when she’s finished with all her duties and performances, her wish is to start a family by having a child.

As the mother of the soon-to-arrive child, I can’t help but joke that our newborn will undeniably carry an intriguing character, much like her parents. With me being the one in charge and Rich as her father, it seems quite fitting to predict that our little one will rule with a queenly demeanor, wouldn’t you agree?

It’s up to Adele and Rich themselves to determine if this specific dream of theirs has become a reality. Given Adele’s openness about wanting another child, it’s not surprising that this, combined with her absence from the party, sparked lots of speculation.

My source confirms that there was indeed much positive discussion about it at Lucy’s gathering, they remarked. ‘What a delightful prospect!’ they added.

It’s noted that it’s been around three months since Adele was last spotted in public. In the month of April, she was photographed multiple times attending an LA Lakers basketball game.

Last time around, in the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, she paired up with Rich. She donned a comfortable grey shirt and pants, along with a camel-colored coat on that occasion. It’s worth noting that Rich, aged 44, manages basketball icon LeBron James as his client. Although he already has three children from a previous relationship, there have been hints that he desires more, expressing in an interview back in 2022 that he was eager to become a more patient and understanding father figure.

‘According to a source, they’re quite the power duo, but what makes their relationship even more special is that Adele finds him incredibly funny. They always seem to enjoy each other’s company immensely.’

‘His degree of celebrity status is achieved in a manner that most others can’t replicate.’ It was speculated that they were dating starting from July 2021, as they were spotted together at a basketball game, having crossed paths at a gathering several months prior.

In the subsequent year, Adele – famously associated with her 2011 chart-topper “Someone Like You” – sparked rumors of an engagement by donning a large pearl-cut ring at the 2022 Brit Awards.

It took another couple of years for Adele to officially announce her engagement. Last summer, during a performance in Munich, she revealed to an audience member with a wedding proposal sign that she was already engaged herself.

Whether the couple have actually tied the knot remains unclear.

Adele’s relationship with Lucy is unquestionably strong. They’ve been nearly inseparable for close to two decades now, ever since Lucy crossed paths with the singer at a concert featuring musician Jack Penate.

Lucy’s sibling, Jonathan, currently manages Adele, and together they are recognized for guiding her path to international acclaim and wealth. Recounting their initial encounter, Lucy shared: “I was at the venue, and Jack was there with a girl who introduced herself as Adele.

‘She was an incredibly amusing, kind, and endearing individual. I mentioned that I’d heard she was a singer and inquired if she had any recordings. She replied, “Give me a moment,” and gestured to the man sitting beside us to whom she’d recently given a CD.’

‘She forced him to return it immediately so she could pass it on to me. The following day, while at home doing chores, I inserted her handwritten demo into my small JVC stereo system. It was the craziest sound I had ever encountered.’

Last year, when Lucy returned to the United Kingdom from Los Angeles, there was talk that Adele might do the same. However, she has continued to stay in California, where she recently renovated her £45 million mansion in Beverly Hills – a property she purchased from Sylvester Stallone in 2022.

Distance, I’m told, has not affected their relationship.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but wonder: ‘It’s hard to believe Adele wouldn’t show up at the gathering, unless it was for something truly extraordinary.’
