Netflix’s Top Boy star looks unrecognisable in jaw-dropping weight loss reveal just months after splitting from co-star girlfriend

An actor who played a significant role in the show “Top Boy” appeared almost unidentifiable following his public display of a substantial weight reduction, approximately a few months after parting ways with his fellow castmate girlfriend.

Kadeem Ramsay, recognized for portraying Kit, Jamie’s deceitful friend, showed a notable transformation when he filmed himself in a gym restroom.

In an Instagram video, the actor from London showcased his slender physique and toned arms, wearing a black tank top, navy jogging pants, and workout gloves.

In the recent social media bit, the Netflix alum looked worlds away from his character Kit. 

Kadeem has been in a relationship with his “Top Boy” co-star, Jasmine Jobson, who portrayed the character Jaq Lawrence, since 2023.

The romance came to an end when the former couple parted ways earlier this year with Jasmine.

The thirty-year-old British actress announced her breakup in May and revealed that she is now dedicated to living her life fully and practicing celibacy.

Kadeem has gained significant recognition for portraying the character of Kit, a London Fields gang member, on the popular Netflix series.

The role he assumed in the series was significant, starting right from his debut in season three.

In a different role, he had a close friendship with Jamie Tovell, portrayed by Michael Ward. Later, it was Michael who took charge following the imprisonment of Modie, played by David Omoregie.

And this meant that he was placed just below Jamie in the gang’s hierarchy. 

However, the situation became intricate when Ats (Keiyon Cook), who was close friends with Stefan (Araloyin Oshunremi, Jamie’s younger brother), was instructed to hide drugs and a firearm in Jamie’s home by Dushane Hill (Ashley Walters), the head of the Summerhouse gang and Jamie’s adversary.

His actions meant that Jamie was put in prison and Kit decided to take matters into his own hands. 

In simpler terms, Dexter Marcey (Micah Louban) was instructed by someone to ‘give Ats a harsh learning experience’. However, this instruction led to Dexter ultimately taking the life of the schoolboy instead.

In the fourth season, matters became all the more intricate as Jamie found himself ordering the death of Kit, following directives from adversaries Dushane and Sully, also known as Kane Robinson.

However, in the month of May, Jasmine (the actress from the newly released crime drama “Mobland”) disclosed that they had chosen to part ways and move on separately.

In the video she posted on her social media, Jasmine clarified her current relationship situation by stating that she is deeply committed to living life to its fullest.

When inquired about her romantic status by fans, she replied: “Actually, I’m not in a relationship at the moment, but I’m not single either. Thanks for asking!

‘Life has captured my heart completely. I’m not dating anyone or in a romantic partnership, but rather, I’ve dedicated myself to a deep and meaningful connection with life itself.’

She added: ‘The next time I see somebody is gonna be the man that I marry.’ 

The couple went Instagram official with their romance in October 2023 with a sweet snap.

In the picture, the duo were standing within a meadow, leaning towards each other for a kiss, and the actress labeled it, “You’re not welcome among us.

Top Boy isn’t the only TV show that Kadeem has starred in. 

He also played OctoBoy in Netflix’s Sex Education in 2019. 

Additional qualifications encompass Tracey Ullman’s Show, In The Long Run, Small Axes, and the Fictitiously Thrilling Exploits of Dick Turpin.

Crime drama Top Boy has had 32 episodes across five series.

The series first appeared on Channel 4 in 2011 and ran there until 2013. When it came back in 2019, it was broadcasted on Netflix instead.

Top Boy wrapped up in 2023 – much to fans’ dismay.
