Embarrassing illness Jennifer Aniston’s hunky health guru boyfriend kept secret
Jennifer Aniston’s new boyfriend hid an embarrassing secret for years, Daily Mail can reveal.
49-year-old hypnotist wellness expert Jim Curtis, who battles with a persistent health issue, openly admitted that he struggled with frequent occurrences of acute Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). In his own words, he experienced numerous unintended incidents.
In a courageous interview from 2018, Curtis openly discussed his health troubles, explaining that an unidentified illness caused him to experience an awkward situation where he had to rush to the restroom unexpectedly in airports, along with numerous other severe and debilitating ailments.
He claimed to have hidden his health issue from his ‘macho’ colleagues on Wall Street, instead sharing that he had been involved in a motorcycle accident.
Prior to ten years ago, I struggled with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and experienced numerous incidents. As a frequent traveler, I had to navigate significant airport distances on foot; I preferred not to rely on wheelchairs for fear of tripping and falling or becoming overly sweaty. This was the account Curtis shared with Fast Company magazine in 2018.
I was busy with a task without discussing it, persevering along the way. However, when an unfortunate incident occurred – as it unfortunately did – I’d switch into crisis management mode or rush home to handle it before returning to work for another day.
Curtis, recently seen on a romantic getaway with girlfriend Anniston, disclosed that his medical issues originated at the age of 19. This was when he started experiencing difficulty using his legs and discovered unusual growths on his spinal cord.
Things got so bad, he said, that at one point he ‘wanted to die.’

He shared with Fast Company that he initially didn’t know what caused it, but he quickly fell sick and soon found difficulty in walking.
He experienced intense headaches, muscle stiffness, persistent paralysis, and severe pain. Even the top neurologists from the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins were unable to diagnose his condition.
Despite undergoing treatment, he eventually managed to resume his studies at the University of New Hampshire. He navigated campus on a motorbike and was equipped with a catheter from an arm vein to his heart’s top, as he shared in a 2017 interview with the university alumni magazine.
He said things got worse after college, when he started a job on Wall Street.
He expressed to Fast Company that Wall Street is filled with excessive masculinity and ego. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a poor decision for him as he had to endure long hours standing amidst the crowd. The environment was intensely stressful, which is detrimental for someone with his health condition, as high-stress levels can exacerbate inflammation and have harmful effects.
The treatment exacerbated feelings of tiredness and discomfort, and it triggered additional conditions such as IBS and others that were beyond my control.
‘I was walking with a limp and I didn’t want to get into the “why.” So for most of the time I lied.
‘I mentioned that I had been involved in a motorcycle crash – it seemed fitting, it added a bit of edge to my story, and it showed some resilience.’

After two years he left finance and went into sales, working for publisher OnHealth.
Despite continuing to conceal his predicament, he sometimes encountered awkward repercussions while traveling cross-country with a debilitating irritable bowel syndrome.
He confessed that he had been deeply affected by depression, explaining that it’s an exhausting burden one may not fully appreciate. In his line of work as a salesman, he frequently indulged in unhealthy food and alcohol, which led him to gain approximately 50 pounds.
‘I picked up skills swiftly to appear charismatic, so others wouldn’t inquire about my problems. Plus, since I seemed content and excelled at what I did, people rarely doubted or pried into my affairs.’
Curtis switched jobs to Remedy Health Media, and he acknowledged that his new boss, CEO Mike Cunnion, played a significant role in transforming his personal circumstances for the better.
Curtis mentioned that he often inquired about my well-being, saying things like “How are you today? How’s your wellness?” He also complimented me, stating I was doing well and a remarkable individual. However, he seemed puzzled as to why I felt negatively towards myself.
The hypnotist arranged for me my initial major public speaking opportunity, where I could reveal my personal battle to 700 professionals within the industry. He went on to say, ‘From then on, everything took a new turn.’
Since then, Curtis has penned down two self-improvement guides, travels across the nation to address health seminars, and offers expensive holistic health mentoring programs for a significant number of people.

He is skilled in hypnosis and claims to employ this technique to assist individuals in overcoming their personal challenges.
It is said that he has notable clients such as the models Miranda Kerr, Julianne Hough, and Chrissy Teigen, who is also an entrepreneur.
On his website, Curtis expresses that by utilizing hypno-realizations, he not only improved his own health, anxiety, and relationships, but also assisted countless others in escaping their past constraints and old habits to construct a completely fresh reality overflowing with connection, camaraderie, and affection.
