Pedro Pascal addressed concerns from some viewers that he’s too old for the role in the latest Fantastic Four movie.
After receiving public criticism from JK Rowling, the 50-year-old actor openly talked about the impact of online comments in an interview with AP News, sharing that these comments have left him feeling distressed.
Pascal often disregards criticisms about his work, but it’s not uncommon for him to feel a sting from the opposition – it’s just part of the job.
In simpler terms, the celebrity explained that occasionally, the world will intrude upon your personal space, regardless of how hard you attempt to shield yourself. It’s just a part of the experience.
He shared that his emotions might have been heightened during this particular event, making him more emotionally responsive to the affection fans have towards stories similar to this one. After all, he recognizes that such tales wouldn’t be possible without the love people have for these characters, as he expressed on the red carpet at a Fantastic Four fan gathering in London recently.
He mentioned that he experienced the need to meet expectations when he played the character of Reed Richards, who is known as Mr. Fantastic.
He commented that there was an expectation for him to deliver when acting as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic.
