Liam Gallagher ‘booed by Oasis fans at Manchester concert’ as brother Noel snaps back at the crowd
During Oasis’ initial performance in Manchester on a Friday, it seems Liam Gallagher received some jeers from the audience. This apparently provoked his brother Noel to respond sharply to the crowd.
The iconic group began their series of five concerts at Heaton Park, signifying their long-awaited comeback to their local venue after a 16-year absence.
However, during the performance, Liam unexpectedly dedicated a song, stirring up emotions halfway through, as he started playing D’You Know What I Mean.
Before playing the song, he spoke to the audience, stating: ‘I want to dedicate this to the most exceptional manager ever, Mr. Pep Guardiola.’
According to The Sun, the Manchester City manager Pep, who was among the spectators, received some disapproving boos from the crowd, which might have been from supporters of Manchester United.
Liam made a prayer-like motion towards the manager, bowing slightly with his back arched and hands elevated.

In response to some boos coming from a section of the audience, Noel retorted, “Who are you all booing? Who are you booing?
At the concert, there was a large cardboard stand-up of Guardiola, who led City to win the Champions League and six Premier League championships.
A large logo of the Manchester City crest was also on the stage.
In spite of varied opinions, not even the opposing supporters could suppress their chuckles prior to the siblings delivering an energetic rendition of ‘D’You Know What I Mean.’
Liam and Noel Gallagher walked side by side, leading the way for their five-consecutive-night performance at Heaton Park.
80,000 people packed the venue in Manchester, where Oasis played a show to a completely sold-out audience. Their world tour kicked off last week in Cardiff.
In contrast to concerts typically held within stadiums such as the Principality Stadium, Wembley, and Murrayfield, the performances at Heaton Park, a sprawling 600-acre public park situated in Bury and Manchester, are unique in being the only outdoor shows staged in the United Kingdom outside of a stadium.
To kick off their performance, Oasis began with “Hello,” a song from their 1995 second album titled “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” followed by “Acquiesce.

Audience enjoyed a series of songs including Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic prior to Noel’s solo performance.
After giving his brother a hug, Liam left, with Noel carrying on playing ‘Half The World Away’ and ‘Little By Little.’)
Among the other tunes were “D’You Know What I Mean”, “Cast No Shadow”, “Stand By Me”, “Whatever”, and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”.
Following their performance as Rock N Roll Star, Liam expressed his gratitude by saying: “Thank you for staying with us. I understand that we can be challenging at times, but wouldn’t it be exciting to join our band?” As they departed from the stage.
With cries of “One more tune!” reverberating, they reappeared on stage to perform beloved hits such as “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Wonderwall.
Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.
In a heartwarming moment, Noel and Liam found comfort in each other’s embrace, surrounded by their children, prior to the concert. Notably, Liam’s eldest son, Gene, aged 24, documented this special moment on Instagram.
Together with his brother Lennon (age 25), Noel’s daughter Anais (also 25), and Donovan (17) and Sonny (14), who are cousins, he was accompanied.

In addition, Pep, who has managed Noel’s cherished Manchester City football team since 2016, was also part of their group.
A Spanish player put on an old-fashioned Manchester City jersey, ready to strive for reclaiming the premier league title that was taken from them by Liverpool in the previous season.
At the end of Manchester City games, it’s common to hear the famous tune ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis being played at the Etihad Stadium.
Additionally, Noel has participated in various celebration parties with the Spaniard following Manchester City’s victories in recent times.
Last year, while conversing with The Athletic, Noel shared insights about supporting Manchester City during challenging times.
He mentioned that City has been relegated numerous times, but the most dismal season was when they dropped from the First Division to the Second. During that match, he was watching alongside Bobby Gillespie from Primal Scream. City needed to defeat Stoke, while another team had to lose for City to avoid relegation.
Later, he faced me and exclaimed, “You’re in the Second League,” to which I replied, “Actually, we’re in the Third,” as that’s the truth of it. Frankly, I was astonished.
Back in 1995, it was suggested by Noel himself that he might assume control of the club, and this came just prior to their performance at Maine Road, the team’s former stadium.
Noel expressed his optimism, saying he believes the team will be demoted to the third tier, which might give him an opportunity to purchase the club for roughly one million pounds.
When asked about potential investment in shares, he replied: “I’m undecided. Investing in a football club, particularly Manchester City, could be an easy method for losing a significant amount of money.
‘Hopefully they’ll win something while I’m alive but I wouldn’t put money on it.’
At their homecoming concerts, Cast and Richard Ashcroff served as opening acts for the band Oasis.
Cast were joined by American singer P.P. Arnold as they played their latest track Poison Vine.
After completing his cast, Richard ran through several popular tunes, such as The Verve’s “The Drugs Don’t Work,” and concluded his performance with “Bittersweet Symphony.
On Monday, as the gates swung open, Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder was among the well-known personalities spotted making their way to the venue. He was there alongside countless enthusiastic fans eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated concert.
