I’m A Celeb star rushed to hospital with nasty injury after ‘nightmare’ boat accident as they with withdraw from latest challenge

Jake Quickenden recently disclosed that he ended up in the hospital due to a severe injury following an unfortunate boating mishap, which he described as a terrible experience.

The celebrity contestant of “I’m A Celebrity” participated in a 1000-mile boat race along the Yukon River, which spans over 7 days, starting from Canada and ending in Alaska. The teams involved in this race kayak their way through it.

Despite their plans not unfolding as intended, the star and his partner Matty Green found themselves out of the game. He revealed this on Instagram, posting a photo of his arm in a cast.

I wanted to give you all an update. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. I started off strong but then ran into some issues, which set me back and unfortunately, I encountered more problems after that!

At times, it’s important to keep in mind that you have children and avoid pressing your luck when fortune seems elusive.

‘Just at hospital getting an xray and me and Matt both fine.’

Later, he displayed his arm in a sling and a red cast, mentioning, “I will provide an update about our harrowing experience… however, what truly counts is that we are both secure.

‘It was going great until it wasn’t.’

In the hospital waiting room, the duo shared a detailed account of their ordeal, confessing several mishaps such as a damaged boat and turbulent weather conditions.

‘Why always me, why always us,’ laughed Jake as the clip began.

Later on, Matty clarified: ‘You can notice the smiles on our faces, despite being disappointed about withdrawing as we did. However, things happen as they do. We’re both secure and heading back to our loved ones.’

Jake added: “Initially, we took off splendidly, our enthusiasm soaring. However, we encountered some difficulties, followed by the boat malfunctioning and us finding ourselves caught in a tempest.

‘Then we set off again thinking we were on it again and then we got into more trouble.’

Matty added: ‘Great race hope everyone else finishes strong and they all stay safe’.
