Olivia Newton-John’s widower John Easterling finds new love with American businesswoman – and she looks just like the late Aussie icon

Nearly three years following the heartbreaking passing of his wife, beloved Australian figure Olivia Newton-John, John Easterling seems to have discovered love anew.

In August 2022, the singer passed away at the age of 73, following a prolonged struggle against breast cancer. Interestingly, it’s said that only four months afterward, she encountered her look-alike, Sarah Owen, who reportedly resembled her significantly.

Reports from various sources suggest that Easterling and Owen, both aged 62, have been romantically linked as they were spotted together in Santa Ynez, California over the past few months. This news was shared by The Daily Telegraph on Saturday.

It is thought that they crossed paths at a New Year’s Eve gathering in December 2022, and have lately been seen spending increased time together in public settings.

In 1989, at the age of 26, the horse-riding shop proprietress had a brief marriage with American actor James Woods, who was then 42 years old.

That particular year, they tied the knot in a modest wedding on July 2nd, held within the elegant confines of the Greystone Mansion situated on the esteemed Doheny Estate in the vibrant city of Beverly Hills, California.

For the very first time, the grand mansion played host to a wedding, boasting an impressive guest list featuring stars like James Garner and Robert Downey Jr.

Just a few months ago, Easterling disclosed the California ranch that was the last resting place for the late Grease star.

Peacefully passing away at her residence in Southern California, the legendary Australian musician concluded a 20-year fight against breast cancer.

In the year 2015, the luxurious, five-bathroom home with four bedrooms was bought by Newton-John at a cost of approximately US$4.69 million or around AU$6.7 million.

This 1975-built estate covers approximately 12 acres, nestled close to the Santa Ynez River. It features a guest house, a swimming pool, as well as horse accommodations such as a barn and stables.

Back then, I couldn’t help but feel a pang when I heard that my beloved idol, Easterling, had put her stunning abode up for sale with a whopping asking price of approximately $13.57 million AUD (equivalent to $8.965 million USD), as reported by People magazine.

At the beautiful ranch in Santa Ynez, known as “The Indian Way,” families can embark on thrilling nature escapades and cherish unforgettable life moments.

The primary building on the estate features a combined total of four bedrooms and five baths, whereas the guest quarters offer two bedrooms for visitors.

This property, approximately 200 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles, additionally offers an outdoor kitchen, work space, recreation room, and a separate four-car garage.

Newton-John listed her beloved ranch for US$5.4million (approx. AU$7.7million) back in 2019. 

Instead, she opted to keep the property, choosing to live out her final days there instead.

Newton-John fought several brave battles against cancer.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, which was successfully treated.

She went into remission, but it later returned in both 2013 and 2017.

The news of Newton-John’s passing led to a wave of public sorrow and touching tributes from people who were close to her.

John Travolta, a co-star from Grease, joined others in mourning, while Victorian premier Dan Andrews arranged for a state funeral in her memory.
