Nasser Sultan recycles suit worn on Married At First Sight to Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday event at Parliament House
On a Friday evening, Nasser Sultan took extra care to dress smartly because he had received an unanticipated invitation to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday.
Previously featured on Married At First Sight and now aged 58, he was spotted alongside his companion, SBS journalist Karla Grant, who had conversed twice with a spiritual leader, at Parliament House in Sydney.
As I accompanied Karla to her speaking engagement, I took great care to appear my best, opting for a suit from my Married at First Sight appearance in 2018 to add an extra touch of elegance.
He posted a video of his blue suit and black undershirt ensemble on his Instagram Stories, giving a glimpse of himself standing outside an elite gathering.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself privileged to be attending the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday dinner at the esteemed Parliament House, accompanied by my delightful companion, Karla.

He went on to say: “This here is the suit I’m donning. It’s a blue suit, the very same one I wore on MAFS. I’ve held onto it since 2018, and as you can see, it still fits me well.
Nasser posted numerous pictures from the birthday celebration on his social media platforms, among them was one showing the honorable guest, Penpa Tsering (the Sikyong of Tibet), seated at his table.
The former reality TV star kicked off the night with a tribute to his 58-year-old girlfriend Karla.
Karla and I feel incredibly privileged to be included in the celebration of His Holiness’s 90th birthday dinner this evening at Parliament House, as expressed in his message.
‘Karla was honoured to interview his holiness twice and has been asked to make a speech. Go girl.’
Later, Nasser shared video clips taken at the gathering, revealing crowded tables filled with distinguished attendees, including monks hailing from Tibet and Australia.
Initially taken aback, Nasser discovered that he and Karla would be sitting with Sikyong Tsering, the political head of Tibet, at their shared table.
Wow, look at that, the leader of Tibet, Sikyong Tsering, is seated opposite me in this video,” he commented.

During the entire night, Nasser kept recording videos of the festivities and traditional performances that were arranged especially for the occasion.
He also filmed Karla giving her speech, saying he was ‘very proud’ of his beloved.
Later, Nasser shared with his audience, “Let’s embrace Buddhism, or rather, let’s cherish all diverse cultures.
Life isn’t limited to being a blonde or a housewife in the Gold Coast. When children stick together, they can never be separated.

In the evening hours, Nasser posted a picture showing him hand-in-hand with Karla, dressed in a black suit and a white scarf. The snap was taken in front of an image of the Dalai Lama.
He finished off the evening with a bizarre video lashing out at the British royal family.
‘So, I’m on the steps of New South Wales Parliament House,’ he began.
Recently, I attended a celebration for His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday. In light of this occasion, I pose an interesting question to you: Which figure do you admire more – the Dalai Lama or Prince Charles?

I much rather lean towards the Dalai Lama compared to Prince Charles. While the latter seems inactive, the Dalai Lama advocates for peace, unity, and kindness.
I prefer the compassionate presence of the Dalai Lama over the seemingly insincere interactions of Prince Charles. May peace be with the Dalai Lama.
A multitude of Buddhist devotees flocked to India alongside the 14th Dalai Lama for his 90th birthday celebration, among them was the renowned actor Richard Gere.
The Dalai Lama, referring to himself as a humble Buddhist monk, typically not one for celebrating birthdays, marked this special occasion by offering prayers for peace.
After China asserted its authority over choosing the successor of the Tibetan spiritual leader, there was a demand for peace that followed.
At the recent event, Richard, a lifelong Buddhist and close companion of the Dalai Lama since 1978, respectfully pressed his lips to the spiritual leader’s hand.
The celebration was held at Dharamshala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile.
