In a dramatic format reminiscent of a play, this suspenseful tale features just five key figures. It delves into themes such as social status, desire for success, celebrity, and control.

Here’s another option:

This thriller is structured like a play, with only five characters, and explores complex issues such as class, aspiration, renown, and deceit.

Yet another option:

In the style of a play, this gripping story revolves around just five individuals, tackling topics like social standing, ambition, fame, and manipulation.

In our compact ensemble, you’ll find Daryl McCormack from “Peaky Blinders,” Richard E Grant hailing from “Saltburn,” Julie Delpy known for “An American Werewolf in Paris,” Stephen McMillan of “Boiling Point,” and Crispin Letts, who graced the screen in “Death on the Nile.

Alice Troughton, known for directing episodes of shows like ‘EastEnders’, ‘Doctor Who’ and its offshoots ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ and ‘Torchwood’, was the one who took charge as the director of the movie.

Critics lauded both the acting and the directing, with The Times commenting that the movie exuberantly showcases its actors’ captivating camaraderie as it gracefully hops from one scene to another.

Despite the main character appearing to be Sommers, portrayed by Leonardo Grande’s McCormack with intricate layers of Tom Ripley, it’s Grant who truly shines in this performance, playing a commanding and fiery patriarch.

The movie titled “The Lesson” doesn’t give much away about its storyline, and similarly, it keeps its secretive nature consistent throughout, leaving the audience guessing until the very end as to who is actually teaching whom. (RTÉ)

The Lesson will be available on Netflix UK and Ireland from 25 July.

The latest issue of Digital Spy’s print edition has arrived! You can purchase the Oasis – Live in ’25’ magazine from newsstands or online for only £8.99.
