AFL legend Barry Hall and wife Lauren Brant have a very public ‘domestic dispute’ on social media
This week, Lauren Brant and Barry Hall found themselves embroiled in a heated online argument or disagreement, which was made public through social media platforms.
The married pair, united since February 2021, used Instagram on Friday to engage their audience in a playful “discussion” about the dimensions of their garage.
The conflict on social media started when the AFL player, Barry (aged 48), posted a video on his Instagram Story that depicted him without a shirt in his driveway.
Behind him, there were two waste bins stacked up, with a car door balanced on top – a sight that caught Barry’s artistic interest.
‘Do you reckon I need a bigger garage?’ Barry asked his 41,000 followers.

‘I’m about to prime my Monaro doors on freaking wheelie bins. More space, Lauren, come on.’
Lauren, who is 36 years old, promptly rejected Barry’s demand for a bigger garage, doing so swiftly.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m sharing my insights today, and I couldn’t help but notice the lively exchange between Barry and myself recently. In my opinion, when it comes to rethinking one’s possessions, particularly a car collection, Lauren’s advice is spot on. She gently suggested that perhaps Barry might want to consider reducing the size of his automobile ensemble.
Friend, it seems like you might be considering expanding your garage due to the inconvenience of having to open your Monaro door onto wheelie bins as depicted in the video,” she noted.
‘How about just don’t have 4 cars!!!!’ she added. ‘Bloody first world problems, buddy.’
Dissatisfied with his wife’s reaction, Barry retaliated by sharing Lauren’s video again with a casual yet sarcastic comment, “Alright then, pal,” accompanied by a grumpy emoji.
Later, he displayed yet another picture, revealing that the color of his car door bore a striking resemblance to the trash bins positioned beneath it.
He jokingly suggested, “I think I might paint the primer and hide it among the trash cans! She probably won’t notice.

It appears that the disagreement didn’t last long, as Lauren’s subsequent post showcased Barry affectionately playing the role of a caring father with their young son Clay, who is only one year old.
Lauren labeled the adorable picture as such: ‘You’re quite a nice addition to adorable kids.’ In response, Barry wholeheartedly agreed with a pair of heart emoticons.
The couple are also proud parents to three sons – Miller, seven, Houston, five, and Samson, three.
Barry’s garage fracas comes after the AFL legend revealed a very surprising career move.
He appeared in the lead role in a music video for the song ‘Keith’ from Melbourne band Playlunch.
In the video, a band that labels itself as “bogan funk” presents a character named Keith, who is depicted as a man acting like a persistent neighbor, confronting others for parking in what he believes to be his space.
Barry cuts a foreboding figure in the music video as he shows off his muscles in a blue tank top.
The band posted on Instagram, “Everyone is familiar with someone similar… Keith is available now on all streaming services. The complete video can be found on our YouTube channel.

‘And in the titular role: the one and only @barryhallofficial.’
Back in June 2021, it was publicly revealed that the pair had clandestinely tied the knot in February and were anticipating their third baby – a joyful announcement made during a heartfelt chat on A Current Affair.
In February 2023, they posted about their joy on Instagram as they celebrated their two-year milestone.
Lauren posted a sweet picture of herself with husband Barry holding up their marriage certificate.
In my two-year journey, I embarked on the most heartfelt elopement, a testament to the power of love and life itself. Words fall short in capturing its essence. To Barry, my heart echoes: I love you deeply.
As a lifestyle advisor, I often find myself sharing heartwarming stories, and this one is no exception. In an extraordinary act of love, my partner and I decided to have a quiet, private ceremony so that our dear sister-in-law, Sandra – who was married to my brother – could be present on our special day. Sadly, she was battling a terminal illness, and we wanted nothing more than for her to witness this momentous occasion in our lives.
She tragically died just two weeks later, after her second battle with stage-four bowel cancer.
