Hugh Jackman’s Insane Gym Workout Has Fans Convinced Wolverine Is Back

The Marvel Universe remains captivating to audiences as fresh projects debut in cinemas and on Disney+. Among the most eagerly awaited future Marvel films are the next two Avengers movies, despite their plots being largely undisclosed. Fans are intrigued about when Hugh Jackman will reappear following the phenomenal success of Deadpool 3, and I’m struck by the striking similarity in comments on his latest workout video.

What we know about Avengers: Doomsdayand Secret Wars is extremely limited, leading fans to fill in the blanks. Fans are hoping Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman show up as Deadpool & Wolverine, especially after how much fans reacted to their recent blockbuster. That discourse got louder Jackman shared a new workout video on Instagram. Check it out below:

Jackman frequently shares workout videos that often spark lively discussions. Besides fans expressing their admiration for the 56-year-old actor, many speculate he might be gearing up to play Wolverine again due to his past history with the X-Men films. Here are some examples of the comments:

1. “Wow, Jackman is really in shape!”
2. “Is he getting ready for another Wolverine role?”
3. “I hope this means we’ll see him as Wolverine again soon!”
4. “Jackman looks like he’s in superhero shape!”

  • Soooo, the Wolverine is back everyone 🙂‍↕️
  • He’s back 🏋️‍♀️ #Wolverine 😎
  • We gonna get ripped Wolverine in Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars
  • Omg 😍😍😍 I guess Wolverine is back ❤️❤️❤️
  • Oh wow @thehughjackman ( Wolverine) is very back Awwwww I love your Videos from the gym ❤️🔥🙌💙💛💙💛💙💛

It appears quite straightforward, but many people are praising Jackman for his fitness, and most of them seem to be wishing he’d come back as Wolverine earlier rather than later. Given how much I enjoyed the movie Deadpool & Wolverine, I find myself aligning with their sentiments too.

Fans who have been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years are aware that it has experienced both highs and lows since “Avengers: Endgame”. Interestingly, Ryan Reynolds’ third “Deadpool” film stands out in sharp contrast, particularly after the commercial flop of “The Marvels”.

It’s uncertain if Jackman will once again play the part of the clawed mutant, especially since neither he nor Reynolds are included in the cast list for “Avengers: Doomsday”. We might need to look forward to “Secret Wars” for a potential reunion of this formidable pair within the MCU. However, it’s also possible that Marvel is keeping quiet about Deadpool and Wolverine’s appearance in the initial film. Given Marvel’s reputation for secrecy, anything could happen!

It appears there’s strong enthusiasm for Hugh Jackman reprising his Wolverine character again, and it seems he remains fit for the part. Though Deadpool 3 jokingly suggested he’d keep playing this role into his nineties, there might be an element of truth to that jest. Frankly, it’s difficult to envision another actor filling those claws at this moment in time.

Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Logan is currently available for streaming on Disney+. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” is set to premiere in theaters on July 25th, 2025, as part of the 2025 movie lineup. We’ll simply have to be patient and find out when Wolverine will reappear.
