In the show, Rizwan works alongside his actual mom, Shahnaz, and his real-life brother, Nabhaan Rizwan, portraying Jamma’s family members on screen. Meanwhile, Russell Tovey is cast as Jamma’s romantic interest, Guy.

Mawaan Rizwan won the BAFTA for Best Male Performance in a Comedy category, outshining actors like David Tennant from “Good Omens” and Joe Gilgun in “Brassic.

The show, titled Ludwig, has been a smashing success, boasting an impressive 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it no surprise that it’s set to return for another thrilling season!

The Perfect Couple

Under the guidance of the director behind “The Night Manager” and “The Undoing,” Netflix’s high-profile murder mystery was bound to be an engrossing and hard-to-resist binge-watch. The hilarious LGBTQ+ sitcom masterfully blends humor and merriment with a touching narrative about chosen family and unity, centered around a close-knit circle of queer companions. Created by and featuring Phil Dunning, Smoggie Queens unfolds in the town of Middlesbrough.

The show has left a strong impression, and it’s exciting news that another season is planned! We’re informed that there will be even more outrageous behavior and electrifying energy as the queens guide us through yet another thrilling journey!

Such Brave Girls

The acclaimed BBC sitcom, recently praised as the funniest in years, kicked off its latest season to universal critical acclaim, earning a flawless rating on Rotten Tomatoes at launch.

In my perspective, I’m utterly captivated by the heartwarming series titled “Such Brave Girls,” penned by the talented Kat Sadler. The narrative focuses on Deb Johnson, a strong-willed single mother portrayed brilliantly by Louise Brealey, and her two daughters, Josie (played by none other than Kat Sadler herself) and Billie, skillfully acted by Lizzie Davidson. Together, they navigate their lives in a way that resonates deeply with me.

This much-adored show premiered on BBC Three in the UK back in November 2023, and its second season was made available on BBC iPlayer starting from July 2025. In 2024, it garnered a BAFTA award for the Best Scripted Comedy category, outshining Jack Rooke’s “Big Boys” in the process.
