Is Isla Fisher quitting Hollywood? Aussie actress shocks by teasing new career move after finalising her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen
Isla Fisher playfully hinted at an unexpected change in her profession, and it’s not related to the world of Tinsel Town’s glitter and pomp.
On Friday, the 49-year-old Australian actress, fresh from her divorce with ex-spouse Sacha Baron Cohen, posted a video on Instagram showcasing her new pastime – hobbyhorse riding.
She shared a video from the 2025 Finnish Hobbyhorse Championship, playfully hinting that hobbyhorse show jumping might become her future endeavor.
In her post, she titled the video as ‘This is my dream in life’, featuring Kht Shetty, an individual well-known online, competing in the ‘International 100-110cm category.’
Each year in Finland, the Finnish Hobbyhorse Competitions take place. These competitions celebrate hobbyhorses – make-believe horses crafted from sticks and used for creative role-playing.

Various disciplines are included in the event, such as show jumping, dressage, and Western riding.
Last week, Isla radiated joy as she made her grand entrance on the first day of the Wimbledon Championships 2025, dressed elegantly in a flattering floral gown with an eye-catching neckline.
The Australian actress was beaming ear-to-ear, appearing luminous in a stunning Monique Lhuillier lemon-patterned corseted gown costing approximately $4,703.
She paired her ensemble with a compact Aspinal of London leather Paris bag and a set of aviator shades.
In the movie “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” the main character completed her stylish outfit by donning a pair of Jimmy Choo leather wedges as her footwear.
On June 14th, it was officially confirmed that Isla and her former spouse Sacha, aged 53, settled their approximately AU$250 million divorce, which they had initiated.
The duo announced through posts on their respective Instagram accounts that their divorce process has come to an end.

Sacha and Isla first met in 2001 and married in 2010.
In Hollywood, their marriage was widely regarded as extremely robust until they chose to part ways peacefully in 2023 without much public fanfare.
In April 2024, they made a public statement about their split, but it seems they’ve since sorted out any disputes in a friendly manner.
According to a source, everything is settled now, and both Sacha and Isla are eager to move forward with their lives and prioritize the health and happiness of their families.
The couple—who have three children together—first met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2001.
Speaking of their first encounter, Sacha recalled quickly noticing Isla was ‘hilarious’.
He recalled: ‘We found ourselves at an extravagant social gathering, and we connected by poking fun at those around us at the event.’
‘I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did,’ he added.
The pair announced their separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites.
In a subsequent communication, they affirmed: ‘Following a lengthy tennis game spanning more than two decades, we’re now retiring our rackets.’
In an earlier conversation this year, Isla mentioned her split, stating: “This has been the hardest experience I’ve faced, yet it has taught me a great deal about who I am.
‘I never imagined my family being separated but we are committed and loving parents.’
