The thrilling heist drama, richly filled with “deceit,” has found its latest streaming platform in the UK, known as “Suspicious Minds.
As outlined in the summary, this Spanish-speaking television show centers around Amber (played by Silvia Alonso), a renowned burglar who excels in her line of work. After an unsuccessful caper in Las Vegas, Amber aims to set things right by executing another heist.
Heading towards idyllic Isla Esperanza, Amber is on the hunt for a cursed gem worth $240 million. However, her mission becomes more complex when her former lover Rui (Álex González), who has a reputation as a mysterious thief, also shows up with the same goal in mind.
Portraying a thrilling blend of “deceit, escape, and treachery,” the series titled “Suspicious Minds” is now accessible for streaming in the UK, as all six of its action-packed, adventurous, and romantic episodes have been added to Disney+.
In the series, Asier Etxeandia and Milena Radulovic take on supporting characters, while Amber and Rui bring together a group of inexperienced crooks to execute their latest scheme. There is an undercurrent of mistrust between the two protagonists as well.
Few reviews for the series have been released so far. However, the San Jose Mercury News described it as “adequate entertainment,” suggesting it doesn’t ask too much of its viewers, although they pointed out that the themes are quite broad.
If you’re looking for an entertaining, visually appealing time-filler with beautiful vacation destinations, some mildly suggestive interactions, bickering newlyweds, and a group of thieves, then sit back and enjoy the ride! However, be warned that this story tends to disregard logic in its plot development.
Enthusiasts of heist dramas now have the opportunity to watch all episodes of “Suspicious Minds,” as Disney+ has announced that the first season of “The Teacher,” featuring Sheridan Smith and Samuel Bottomley, is now available on their streaming platform.
In 2022, the four-part TV series initially broadcast on a certain channel follows the character of Jenna Garvey, portrayed by Smith, who is an English teacher. She is accused and subsequently admits to having inappropriate sexual relations with a 15-year-old student. As time passes, she starts to doubt her own guilt and entertain the possibility that she might have been falsely accused.
Suspicious Minds is streaming on Disney+.
