Eva Mendes’ Hilarious Confession About Ryan Gosling’s New Movie!
Among all the stunning Hollywood pairs living in Tinseltown, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes continue to be my favorite. Last week saw the release of the first trailer for Gosling’s upcoming movie, “Project Hail Mary,” which has quickly become one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2026. Yet it’s not just the movie that’s generating excitement, but also how Mendes expressed her joy over the trailer’s success. This renewed admiration for the couple makes my heart flutter once more.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes fell in love on the set of indie movie The Place Beyond The Pines back in 2011, and have been together ever since. I love how nearly 15 years later the actress is supporting her hubby’s work by posting the following on her Instagram:
The actress announced that the movie trailer for “Project Hail Mary” had amassed 400 million views within its first week online, making it the most-watched trailer for an original film not based on a sequel or remake. According to Deadline, this was also Amazon MGM Studios’ largest trailer launch ever (for MGM, Amazon, or both combined). Eva Mendes disclosed that 399 million of these views were her own.
Although Eva Mendes expressing such a heartwarming sentiment is lovely, it’s evident that she couldn’t have watched Ryan Gosling’s three-minute trailer hundreds of millions of times in just one week. It’s impressive to observe Mrs. Gosling consistently backing her husband and promoting his new projects, whether it was by creating a captivating hashtag for the first peek at Ken in “Barbie” or sharing information about “The Fall Guy” as it graced the big screen last summer.
In addition to the upcoming movie adaptation of Project Hail Mary, featuring Ryan Gosling and set in space, generating much anticipation among readers, it’s also based on a popular science fiction novel by Andy Weir that was published in 2021. This bestselling and critically-acclaimed book has been captivating audiences since its release, and there’s speculation that it could serve as the foundation for one of the major blockbusters in 2026.
The film is particularly noteworthy because it’s directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, known for creating blockbusters like “21 Jump Street” and its sequels, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Lego Movie,” and “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.” These directors also took to Twitter to express their excitement over the trailer’s success.
Wow, what an astonishing achievement! A heartfelt thank you to each one of you remarkable, benevolent enthusiasts of cinema, literature, interstellar exploration akin to near light speed, the radiant Sun, for propelling the Project Hail Mary trailer beyond 400 million views in just a week – an unprecedented feat for a non-sequel or remake film. We can hardly wait to express our gratitude to some of you personally at the San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H alongside Ryan, Andy, and Drew…
I’m eagerly anticipating discovering what they have planned for SDCC later this month, before the movie releases in theaters on March 20, 2026. In the interim, I’m confident that there will be further hints that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are the epitome of relationship goals.
