Following a gap of 19 years, and some ambiguous signals from the actors involved, it has now been confirmed that “The Devil Wears Prada 2″ is under active development and scheduled for release in cinemas this coming May.

Who‘s returning from the original cast?

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that I, along with countless others, will once again get to see Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and the exceptionally talented Stanley Tucci grace our screens in their beloved roles for the eagerly awaited sequel!

Acting on screen together will be Tracie Thoms, known for her portrayal of Lily, Anne Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs’ friend, and Tibor Feldman, returning to his role as Irv Ravitz, the chairman of Runway’s parent company, Elias-Clarke.

In a return engagement, director David Frankel – known for spearheading a movie that grossed an impressive $326 million globally – is set to come back, as will screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who has previously collaborated on projects and co-created the hit series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.
