In my perspective as a movie reviewer, this scene is remarkably heartwarming and entertaining, showcasing the unique bond between these mechanical titans on both personal and professional fronts. Although it remains to be seen whether they will cross paths in future Marvel productions, there’s an undeniable mutual admiration brewing between the two performers that truly shines through.

Robert Downey Jr. also left a heartfelt message of support for Ironheart in the comment section of that post. His comment read:

Indeed, I’m thrilled about Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Instead of reviving Iron Man post Tony Stark’s demise in “Endgame,” he’ll be donning the villainous role of Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers films. As for Evangeline Lilly’s character, Thorne, she wasn’t part of the “Doomsday” cast, but who knows? Perhaps we might see her in “Secret Wars.” After all, dreams are worth entertaining!

Previously, I expressed my eagerness to learn about Robert Downey Jr.’s reactions towards the unexpected turns taken by the Ironheart series on Disney+. The Marvel show creatively blended technology and magic, and notably, it introduced the much-anticipated villain Mephisto into the shared universe. Since Riri struck a deal with this character to resurrect her dear friend, I’m guessing that this will have repercussions for future projects within the MCU. So, what can we expect for Dominique Thorne’s iconic character in the future?

Considering the significant events in recent episodes of Ironheart, I’m eagerly anticipating the studio to tackle these issues promptly rather than postponing them. The series seemed to resonate well with audiences on Disney+, which could be a promising sign. However, there’s no hint yet about a Season 2 or where we might find Riri next.

The entire series of Ironheart is currently available on Disney+, while the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film hitting theaters is The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25th, 2025. Just like any other enthusiast, I am eagerly anticipating Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the shared universe.
