Candyman doesn’t look like this anymore! Playboy tobacco tycoon’s shock new life and appearance revealed after he went ‘missing’
Travers ‘Candyman‘ Beynon, who was absent from social media, has resurfaced following a significant legal dispute involving millions of dollars.
A once popular figure on Instagram, known for his tobacco empire in the Gold Coast, chose to remove his account. It was a platform where he showcased his extravagant parties and lavish lifestyle, attracting more than a million admirers.
During his recent break from social media, Travers was noticed at a Gold Coast park on a Wednesday, appearing nearly unfit for recognition.
Frequently, followers observe Travers in his bare-chested state, amidst a group of attractive women wearing swimsuits, within the opulent surroundings of his Candy Shop Mansion.
But it appears he has now traded in his playboy lifestyle for that of a family man.

The 53-year-old was seen in the company of wife Taesha and two of his five children.
In a blended family setup, Travers co-parents Velicia (age 12), Serafina (age 11), and Santiago (age 1) with Taesha, in addition to having two older children, Valentino (age 24) and Luciana (age 22), from his earlier marriage with Ninibeth Leal.
He appeared very much in doting dad mode as he accompanied his brood to a local swim school.
Travers cut quite the dapper figure in a light grey three-piece suit.
Additionally, he donned a clean white shirt and a burgundy tie fastened with a silver clip, completing the ensemble by adding a white handkerchief in his pocket.
Travers finished his ensemble with a pair of black patent leather shoes and black sunglasses.
The man with five children, who used to have a full brown mane, now seems to be experiencing hair loss.

Meanwhile, his wife Taesha presented a more relaxed image with a black hoodie and fitting black leggings.
Or:
Taesha, his wife, looked less formal in comparison, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and form-fitting black leggings.
She completed her outfit with a vibrant hot-pink sandal pair, seeming engrossed in arranging a stroller for her toddler as Travers watched.
Although Travers seemed less assistance-oriented as his wife managed everything, he appeared delighted to be among family, smiling broadly while gently touching the child’s head affectionately.
The observation follows the disclosure made by Daily Mail Australia, where it was unveiled that Travers parted ways with his primary partner in a polyamorous relationship, Nisha Downes.
Nisha affirmed that she swapped her previous lifestyle filled with extravagant parties, high-end shopping expeditions, and intimate relationships, for a traditional partnership and a new approach to living.
At the age of 19, I began living at his “Candy Shop Mansion,” and by the time I reached 27, I found myself questioning whether that relationship was truly what I desired, she openly confessed.
‘Reflecting on my life, I pondered on how much longer I truly wished to continue along this path. Questions like, “Would I find ease in our family dynamic if we had children, for the rest of my days?” crossed my mind.’
In December, it will be three years since she left her flashy house and grand property in Helensvale behind to embark on a fresh chapter.

In the end, she remarked that nothing chaotic took place, and she found it more personally engaging to spend time with only one individual.
On the sun-kissed shores of the Gold Coast, I, Nisha, have swapped my beachy string bikinis for tailored corporate wear. Now, I’m immersed in the dynamic world of construction, serving as a dedicated Development Manager.
Apart from the Beynon family’s absence on social media, it seems that their tobacco empire, specifically the FreeChoice Tobacco website, is also temporarily unavailable at this time.
From my perspective as a lifestyle expert, it’s worth noting that although FreeChoice’s franchise stores are still bustling, they recently vacated their Gold Coast head office back in February. Interestingly, the building, which is owned by one of Beynon’s companies, has now been leased to a fresh new business.
In June, it was reported that Travers was involved in a heated, multi-million dollar lawsuit filed against him by his stepfather Trevor.
Trevor Beynon, aged 79, established the tobacco store empire known as Free Choice, and he was once married to Sandra, who is Travers’ mom, during their partnership in founding the cigarette chain.
As per court records, Trevor claims that Travers falsely employed phony papers to seize greater authority over the group’s possessions, a move that contradicts Trevor’s wishes as stated in his will.
In March, I stepped down as the director of two significant companies under the Free Choice umbrella. Recently, legal documents have surfaced, suggesting that my departure was not voluntary, a claim I am currently bringing to court.

After Sandra Beynon passed away in 2015, it’s said that Travers subsequently sought help from attorney Matthew Burgess to draft legal papers intended to safeguard Travers from potential challenges by Sandra’s siblings for a larger share of the inheritance.
The papers claim that they, together with accountant Richard Hoult, crafted estate planning documents indicating a $55 million donation by Trevor to Free Choice Master Holdings, one of Travers’ firms, followed by a loan.
The court papers indicate that there was another document, intended for guaranteeing the loan, which referred to Trevor’s possessions as collateral.
As per the court documents, tensions apparently peaked in January of this year following a dispute between Trevor and Travers regarding the administration of Free Choice. This disagreement reportedly led to Travers demanding the repayment of an alleged $55 million loan.
This occurs during what seems like a turbulent time for Travers, as the playboy has once again attempted to sell his Candy Shop residence.
Initially, Travers put up a grand 14-bedroom house by the canal in 2023. At some point, this property came with a staggering $25 million price label.
According to an article published in May by the Gold Coast Bulletin, Travers hired a new representative to help finalize the sale of the property.
As a die-hard fan, I roped in real estate powerhouses Ivy Wu and Isaac Kim from Ivy Realty to spearhead a promotional blitz for this opulent abode I simply couldn’t resist!

Travers originally purchased the home in 2010.
He later snapped up neighbouring land, effectively tripling the footprint of the compound.
The property sits on a substantial 1.4 acres with 175m of private water frontage.
The house spans a large 2,230 square meters and features intricate mosaic murals and hand-crafted frescoes.
