The show, where Deaf character Alison Brooks (played by Ayling-Ellis) employs her lip-reading abilities to assist the police in apprehending a criminal group, has been hailed by Stylist as “a significant step forward for inclusivity and representation” and “the unmissable thriller of the year“.
