Ryan Murphy’s ‘Monster’ Season 4 To Reportedly Focus on Axe Murders Suspect Lizzie Borden
Summary
- Season 4 of Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Monster will reportedly focus on Lizzie Borden, accused of 1892 axe murders
- Production is rumored to begin this fall, though Netflix hasn’t officially announced the season or cast
- This follows previous seasons focusing on Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez Brothers, with Ed Gein’s season 3 due this year
It appears that Season 4 of Ryan Murphy’s Netflix show, “Monster”, is rumored to center around Lizzie Borden, a woman suspected of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe in 1892.
According to sources, Murphy and his crew might start filming as early as this autumn, but neither the producer nor the streaming platform has confirmed a fourth season yet. No further details about potential cast members or a launch date have been disclosed so far.
In August 1892, Lizzie Borden was put on trial for the murders of her father, Andrew, and her stepmother, Abby. The murder weapons were hatchet-like tools; Abby received over seventeen blows, while Andrew sustained around ten to eleven. Despite being acquitted, she remained the main suspect in this gruesome case.
Currently, it is planned that the third season of our anthology series will air sometime this year, with a focus on serial killer Ed Gein. In this installment, Charlie Hunnam will portray the infamous “Butcher of Plainfield.” Previous seasons have centered around Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez Brothers.
Stay tuned for an official trailer and release date.
