Fans flocked to the comments to express their heartbreak after discovering Irene’s health battle.
This individual hasn’t quite come to terms with parting ways with Irene yet, as she holds a special place in their heart. Her ability to bring joy to others is truly remarkable.
Deeply emotional about it. I’ve spent my childhood years with Irene and Home and Away. Another person shared that they, too, will miss her.
‘I’m not ready, going to need a big supply of tissues,’ a third wrote.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I recently shared the news that in March, I bid a heartfelt farewell to my character, Irene, on the beloved soap opera, Home and Away. The series poignantly captured my final moments on set with some truly emotional scenes.
Instead of saying “The 72-year-old was gifted flowers by her co-stars, including Ada Nicodemou, and looked very emotional – albeit elated – as she finished up at Seven’s long-running series after over 30 years in the cast,” you can rephrase it like this: The 72-year-old actress was presented with flowers by her co-stars, including Ada Nicodemou. She looked both emotional and joyful as she wrapped up her long tenure on Seven’s series, having spent more than three decades in the cast.

As a devoted fan, I can wholeheartedly say that this journey has been the highlight of mine. Each and every one of you – Ray, Georgie, Emily, Shane, Ada, James, and the rest of the crew – hold a special place in my heart. In essence, I couldn’t be more grateful for your presence.
Lynne mentioned that the art department, the writers, and everyone else involved are like hidden champions. It takes a multitude of elements to create this show.
It’s been truly an honor working with all of you, as each one of you is simply fantastic. Your talents and dedication have left a profound impact on me. I feel moved and overwhelmed by this experience. A heartfelt thank you for your contributions.
Today marked the end of Lynne’s scenes, with Ada, her dearest friend, present.)
‘Stay tuned for Irene’s emotional exit storyline coming later this year’.
For more than three decades, Lynne has been a beloved character on Home and Away, portraying the role of the resilient “Aussie battler” Irene Roberts.
This year at the 65th Awards, the actress, who has been nominated for both a Silver and Gold Logie, previously declared that she would be leaving the program earlier in the year.
In a sentimental tone, the well-respected actor expressed that, after 33 years in a cherished position where he worked alongside people he holds dear and now views as family, it feels both sweet and sad to be concluding an extraordinary and lengthy career chapter that has been the pinnacle of his professional life.
She expressed heartfelt thanks to the exceptional production team that she considers the best in the world, as well as to our incredibly talented writers who are always ready to help, for all they have accomplished for Irene throughout the past nearly three decades.
I’m incredibly pleased with the plot that sends Irene away from the Bay. To begin with, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the fans for your unwavering affection and encouragement.
