In an unusual feat, the third season of the science fiction drama “Foundation,” featuring Jared Harris and Lee Pace, has achieved a flawless rating from critics.
In a far-off galaxy, the Apple TV+ series inspired by Isaac Asimov’s book series unfolds. This epic tale follows a group of rebels united against an oppressive empire, but their path to victory is filled with challenges.
Originating from the minds of David S Goyer and Josh Friedman, the series titled “Foundation” makes its long-awaited comeback on the streaming platform this coming Friday, 11th July, following a hiatus of nearly two years.
In the upcoming season, the first episode will lead to another nine episodes that air weekly, culminating in the finale on September 12th.
The initial response to the upcoming season is overwhelmingly favorable, with a stellar 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on seven reviews. This mirrors the perfect score achieved by its 2023 predecessor and surpasses the 72% score established by its inaugural season (2021).

The storyline maintains an engagingly intricate structure, weaving together a network of captivating interstellar politics and thought-provoking ideas, as Empire Magazine described it as a “breathtaking, expansive, and intellectually stimulating journey through space.
The AV Club also gave the series positive reviews, describing it as “heavy”, “high-stakes” and “fascinatingly engaging”. They further commented: “The narrative has been simplified, allowing new characters and familiar faces to face off against a long-awaited common adversary – a typical villain with basic desires and objectives.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but express my excitement over this captivating show that has me hooked! It’s the writing, the intricate world-building, and the exceptional performances that make it so wildly entertaining. Even the experts at io9.COM agree with me, calling it a standout. CBR also praised it as one of the best shows of the year, going as far as to recommend it as a must-watch for any enthusiasts like myself who love this genre. Simply put, this show is not to be missed!

It’s accurate to remark that the Apple TV+ series by David S Goyer and Josh Friedman has achieved the extraordinary, managing to captivate viewers while maintaining the essence of Asimow’s original story.
Apart from Harris and Pace, the lineup for Foundation also features Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Terrence Mann, Laura Birn, and Cassian Bilton. For this season, Troy Kotsur and Alexander Siddig are added as new additions to the cast.
Foundation season 3 premieres on Apple TV+ on 11 July, with episodes being released weekly.
