Lauren Goodger and ex Charles Drury mark late baby Lorena’s ‘heavenly’ third birthday and praise daughter Larose, 3, for ‘giving them strength’

On Tuesday, Lauren Goodger and her former partner, Charles Drury, commemorated what would have been the third birthday of their daughter Lorena.

Last year, in 2022, the 38-year-old celebrity, who has a four-year-old daughter named Larose with Charles, welcomed their new baby girl, Lorena. At birth, Lorena had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.

Previously dating Katie Price, Charles posted a tribute on Instagram earlier this week, featuring a collection of heartfelt messages and images in memory of his deceased child, accompanied by photos of Larose.

Sharing an old photo from her second birthday, where he arranged balloons over her grave, he penned a deeply emotional note to his beloved child.

I find it hard to believe you’re turning three today! My birthday wish for you has always been consistent, but one day we will reunite. If you’re as mischievous as your big sister, I bet you’ll be causing quite the ruckus in the clouds today, stealing the frosting off the cake!

‘Just know you’ve got so many people thinking about you today. Daddy loves you’. 

Later on, he posted a picture of Larose sitting in her car seat with the caption: “If it weren’t for the less than a year difference between your birthdays, you both would have been three years old now. I can’t help but envision how much alike you’d be, and what great friends you’d make…

‘Finding so much strength in Larose today’.   

More casually, the pair fueled and then put out speculation about getting back together after being seen dining with Towie stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman.

On Tuesday, Junaid posted the same photo along with this message: “Wishing you a beautiful celestial birthday, Lorena. Today, I’m thinking of you and your cherub-like angel baby Lorena who would be incredibly proud…

‘Today is a hard day for yous. You are family to us and we love Lula like our own’. 

Following Lorena’s passing, I found myself in an unexpected and harrowing situation: my wife went into labor at home, and our midwife couldn’t find a heartbeat for our unborn child. I had to act swiftly and call for an emergency hospital transfer. This moment remains etched in my memory as a stark reminder of the fragility of life.

As an ardent enthusiast, I’ve meticulously arranged for a tranquil home birth, immersed in nature’s embrace, all under the watchful eye of my trusted midwife, Tamzin – the very same skilled hands that brought Larose into this world.

On July 6th, her water bag ruptured, and her initial vital signs appeared normal. Consequently, due to a smooth delivery of her first child without complications, she was classified as having a low-risk status.

On the subsequent day, more examinations took place where the baby’s heartbeat was identified. However, by the third day, when contractions started, the heartbeat could no longer be detected, causing an emergency trip to the hospital for Lauren.

After a difficult two-hour labor, over ten physicians tirelessly attempted to save Lorena using chest compressions and adrenaline injections, unfortunately without success.

After facing difficulties in their romantic relationship and the tragic loss of their daughter, Lauren and Charles have now established a cooperative parenting arrangement and a close, friendly bond.

At Lorena’s funeral, Charles faced accusations of attacking Lauren, leading to their immediate separation. Subsequently, Charles was indicted for assault and abusive behavior towards Lauren, a claim he vehemently denies.

After Lauren decided to no longer back the case, it led to an acquittal, as there was insufficient evidence without her support.

In other places, the couple encountered turbulence in their off-and-on romance, and Charles faced allegations of infidelity.
